Some of the solutions people are suggesting are mere wishful thinking. Sports in this country is controlled by powerful forces with links deep into both political parties. There is serious money in sports and where there is money, the vultures and vampires will congregate. It is good the citizenry are up in arms against the current sports administration, but if we do not start at the grass roots, revamping facilities, boosting youth sports with logistical support, following a merit based call up etc,I am afraid we will never rise from the abyss that we have descended into.
