Good move BoG and Ghana Police, but what are you doing about the market women and traders who fold and crumple the cedi notes?
You need to storm the markets and start arresting them. They deface the cedi notes more.
These arrests should include politicians and rich people who “spray” money on people at funerals, parties and other events. Such acts also degrade our currency.
Spraying Ghana Cedi is an offence. Is up to the Police and Citizens to enforce it. We blame the government for everything.
Churches should be the next target. Their members also must be educated in handling our currency notes. At the time of offertory most attendees squeeze the notes into the containers which ends up destroying them in no. time.
