You hardly see the leadership of the Methodist, Presbyterian, and Catholic churches appearing to kowtow to him. Yet, with some other Christian leaders, he calls them for prayers, the cameras come, the event is over, and that seems to be the end of it.

Christian leadership must be bold, independent, and willing to engage political leaders with principle rather than simply seeking proximity and recognition. The Church should not become a tool for political optics; it must be able to speak truth to power, regardless of who is in government.

If we recall that, it took just $10 million, which is not even from the taxpayer but donors, to build Ghana's national mosque that is there for all to see at Kanda, then there is no doubt that the cathedral project is only meant to drain the national coffers.
Afenyo Markin knows this truth well but his bet is that, when you turn even the most stupid issue into politics, some people will lose their thinking ability and accept it.
