With lawyers like Afenyo Markins and Annoh _Dompreh as the face of lawyers, little can be done to salvage the sunken image of "the learned friends". When lawyers in collusion with the bench delay judgments, cases taking 3 years or more to reolve when two hearings would have sufficed, the image of the judiciary is at all time low. How I miss Annie Baeta's swift judgments in the 1950's. They were clean and even losers congratulated her. She handled cases from Keta to Hohoe.She was loved. Today, that can not be said of our currentlearned friends. If a judge speeds up a case, Atta Akyea will be given the megaphone to cry and put up antics to stretch the case.
