What is happening now (teacher/student relationship) is nothing new. It has been with us since time immemorial. The only difference is that social media and the proliferation of cameras and technology is exposing those acts now. I even know a current supreme court judge who was a teacher in our days in secondary school who was rumored to be fvcking at least 4 girls in our school. Sometimes when I hear seniors in society put up this holier than thou attitude I just cringe at their hypocrisy.

It has nothing to with the economy breaking down, its a generational problem and it cut across countries and societies. Employ a teacher to home school your kids, and trust me, this ugly scenario will develop. Sometimes, its the girl that'll position herself to be exploited and some male teacher are devils in human form. Some female teachers aren't left out of the equation, its problem, that no amount of punishment, rules and regulations can solve.

Poverty is a challenge, I used to see 16 or 17 year old coming to school on empty stomach. How can you impact knowledge to such a hungry child. Sometimes we assist out benevolent gesture not for sexual gains. No experienced good teacher would have a sexual relationship with his student, psychologically you can't control that child.

I happen to have been on a course outside Ghana with other Ghanaians. I had interest in one of our lecturers, until I became sick and has hospitalized for sometime.
When I was released from the hospital, one of the students came to inform me that a student has become a boyfriend of my lecturer girlfriend.
They told the student that I will come into his dormitory to beat him.
The whole thing was funny to me, because there have not been any sexual relation between me and the female lecturer.
The student involved also believe that I will beat him so he refused to leave his dormitory.
I went to the student shook his hand and congratulated him before those who were all looking for an incident following me and those in the dormitory.
Some few years later, I was told that that particular student could not secure employment because som big man was of the view that he has taken his girlfriend and deprived him of employment as punishment.
I feel chasing a woman or girl student and a junior worker female as I having knocked out a person. She is on the ground because of my position, then go further to sexually assault her.
Its demeaning.
