  Dr Zanetor this is not the first time that we are hearing that tougher action is needed against illegal mining. In JM's first term we heard it, Nana Addo, we heard it and now under JM 2 we are hearing same. Until the State gets serious in mapping out the places to be mined( it is likely already on paper)and the Law and regulatory bodies do its work,it will be talk talk as usual with no progress.

  How does the EPA approve and grant permits but do not ensure compliance and enforcement. There is nothing disclosed by the EPA about what is truly restored with the reclamation talk.

  The government knows fully well what actions to take to eradicate galamsey but they don’t have the balls to do it. So the minister must rather translate her words into action. It is time the government prosecutes and jail their party affiliates annd the chiefs involved in galamsey to send a strong message that no body will be spared if caught.
