Footballers are called into a team and/or selected for matches NOT as gratitude or thanks for something or contributions they made in the past. Footballers are selected because they have and demonstrate the capacity to make EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTION to upcoming matches (not past matches or qualification matches) and they fit into the coach's game plan.

If the the coach was the one who asked Jordan to play the way he played then he must be the most useless football coach in the history of the game. And your suggestion that the coach could possibly have asked him to play that way exposes your total naivety and emotional approach to these football matters.

Nobody is saying Jordan is above criticism. But when the team struggles with him and continues struggling without him, any sensible person should realise the problems run deeper than one player. Yet this clueless idiot keeps vomiting the same rubbish as though Jordan personally destroyed Ghanaian football.

And Blue Pen, defending someone against unfair scapegoating is not emotional attachment. It's elementary fairness and common sense. You can criticise Jordan's performances without rewriting his contributions or making him the convenient scapegoat for collective failure.
