I thought that the Board Chairman would bring in the Minister after he or she had not been successful in resolving it. As it is, it appears the Board Chairman is weak and unable to rein in the CEO or Abieku is simply undermining the CEO. Head(s) must roll.

Abeiku wants us to believe that the Ghana Tourism Authority do not have executive Management meetings and Management meetings. Why should he write direct to the Ministry when there is governing board of directors.

Across several ministries, many Deputy Ministers appear to have little power to influence decisions, coordinate action, or resolve issues. They are often reduced to social media representatives while other officials wield more practical influence.

Government must give Deputy Ministers clear mandates, decision-making access, resources, and administrative support. Without authority, their appointments remain symbolic and weaken public confidence.

It's most inappropriate for the letter to spill into the public domain and all the more ill-advised for the Deputy CEO to go past the Chairman of the Board of the Authority. Channels of communication cannot be set aside in Corporate Governance, otherwise such a misdirection raises serious questions that require a public apology and reprimand. This can't be part of a re-set agenda.
