I was one of the few who actually saw him play for both Asante Kotoko as well as the National team. His presence always exuded confidence. When you see him in the posts, you have this feeling that the match has been won already. May His Soul continue to rest in Perfect Peace.

Robert Mensah to me was the greatest GK ever to play for Kotoko and the Black Stars. He was a towering figure in the post. The great Egyptian striker Abu Gresha said, "Anytime he is in the post and I am shooting, I close my eyes cos I know he would catch the ball". Other Ghanaian great GKs like Dodo Ankrah, Kwao Baffoe, DeGraft, Joseph Carr, Duru Lantey, Anue Coffie, Ayomah can't be compared to Robert Mensah cos he was in a different stratosphere. May HIS soul rest in perfect peace
