Winnifred Mawudeku, is the sister of GFA President Kurt Okraku
The Director of the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Winnifred Mawudeku, has confirmed that Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku is her brother.
According to her, management has been her profession for most of her career, and she has never worked professionally with her brother.
She also stated that Kurt Okraku played no role in her appointment as director of the facility, adding that many people were unaware of their relationship because she does not use his surname.

Speaking in an interview with Sporty FM on October 29, 2026, Winnifred opened up about her relationship with the GFA president.
“The GFA President [Kurt Okraku] is my brother, but our paths never crossed professionally. He is always into football, and I’m into management. He never played any role in me getting this job. I don’t even use the surname Okraku. The name on my certificate is Winnifred Mawudeku,” she said.
Winnifred Mawudeku also bemoaned the poor state of the facilities at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence when she assumed office, noting that she was working hard to improve the facility.
“The Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence was dead before I arrived as director. From the outside, it looked dead, but coming in, I realised that it was even more compromised,” she noted.
