It's a good move. Looking at history, Russia's patience was only tested by the West. From the collapse of the Soviet Union to breaking of agreements signed between Russia and Nato, it has been very clear where everything was heading towards. Now, the group from the West is involved in proxy war just to strip Russia of its power.

I absolutely wish peace prevail but we ought to respect one another. For me, the world must be a peaceful place for all and sundry, no enemies.

When you see US and Canada becoming enemies then you understand what I mean. I love the people of Ukraine, I love the people of Russia. They must work to avoid the invisible hands and settle for peace.

When you are done, then tell us which country in Africa for an example, that the West hasn't interfered in their internal affairs. Reading or hearing something is not enough to understand it but going beyond it to understand what lies behind, gives you a better understanding of things. We can't afford to follow that Cold war behaviour, Russia has a huge potential that Ghana can tap in. Inviting a coup d'etat leader to his swearing-in ceremony raised eyebrows but his talks about following the vision of Kwame Nkrumah and his preparedness to take "coup d'etat" risks in the pursuit of African Unity/ Pan African affairs are not light matters. Equally worrying are the talks about new defence pact with Russia and the revival of the Ghana- Russia permanent joint cooperation Commission.
Very ironic: Rawlings the commissioned military officer resigned from the Ghana Military and removed his Ghana military uniform to become the civilian President of Ghana. Mahama the Ghana civilian President wears a Ghana military uniform whenever he attends Ghana military ceremonies in Ghana.

After 69yrs of independence, it's very foolish and backward on our part for still preferring our Colonial Masters in whatever decision we take. Thankfully John Kufour & Nana Akuffo Addo are alive, President Mahama has to sit down with them to discuss thar issue to make it attractive to Russia to come in. Mind you ROSATOM is a private Nuclear plant building company in Russia.they will never come and throw away their investments in Ghana
