I know one German who had to sell his house to pay debts he accrued from a bank after he took monies from to send to a scammer who had promised a 'gold' deal. As for romance scam - cha-o. There are lots of them although people here are constantly warned of scammers.

We hear of US cases because FBI works with the Ghanaian security agents to get the criminals in Ghana and such news also published ...
