To start with, there is really no organization - officially or informally, such as the Big Six. It is a mere mirage that was founded in the mind of some anonymous drunkard. It is just like today we have Djelukope Mafia, Akyem Mafia or even the Fante Confederacy to playfully describe real and fictitious groups that are "perceived" to have some hidden agenda.

Anybody who has studied a few pages of the history of the immediate years before and after independence, Knows that the elitiste neocolonial group within the UGCC, never got on with Kwame Nkrumah so how could they have been bundled themselves together and to be described as the Big Six? The Big Six is a lie. It has no legal or conventional validity in the official matters of this country.

Those who promote the effigy, the fairy tale and the mirage of the Big Six, only do so to steal from from the historically indelible accomplishments and prestige of the greatest African ever - the indomitable Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, no less.

The current Governor of the Bank of Ghana should muster some courage and finally put to rest, that ominous and shameful lie that is mischievously flaunted on the legal tender of this country.

There are only a few personalities who truly deserve to be seen on the national currency. These include Casele Hayford, Sakyi, Nkrumah and of course Paa Grant who founded, financed and chaired the first Gold Coast/Ghanaian political organization that aimed to expel those who committed the gravest crime against humanity from our country.

If therefore Dr. Nkrumah and the BIG SIX have to be on the Ghana Cedis simply because they helped in the struggle towards the country achieving independence then Nana Yaa ASANTEWAA who fought the British for Ashantis to gain independence must also be recognised by having her portrait on CEDI NOTES. It cannot be as always Dr.kwame Nkrumah and only Dr. Kwame Nkrumah only. This is not fair. For Dr Kwame Nkrumah never achieved independence for Ashantis. The history is there. The Ashantis warriors who achieved independence for Ashantis before Ashantis joined Ghana at independence must also be recognised. Thank.
