It is very interesting to hear that people are calling the Strengthen of state institutions.At the same time it is this same people who plea for people caught by our own laws.There question therefore is how can we enforce our laws if the State Institutions are prevented from performing their functions.Let us all join and ensuring that the right things are done.The Clergy,politicians,chiefs,opinion leaders and etc.It is when we do that institutions will be effect.Corruption depends on how you see it for it is everywhere in our country in a different form,

This business of state institutions is a worrisome issue and I personally agree with the views of the Man of God. The institutions have become weak because the people who have been put in charge are not living up to their responsibilities. If these institutions were to be private ones, those made in charge will perform. This is the general sickness with the states in Africa especially. Anything belonging to the state is not given the right attention.
I will like to see government set up an inspectorate unit which will report to the presidency, which will ensure that state institutions live up to expectation. The people of Ghana are not receving value for money from these institutions.
One of the first things done by the president when he assumed an acting position was to call on the Civil and Public service to change their attitudes towards work especially after receiving an improvement in their wages and salaries. Unfortunately, various arguments have been advanced by those in charge to defend their unprofessional attitudes.
I will advise that government reviews the working conditions, not the monetary aspect but rather targets relating to time for achieving results.
The Ghanaian people are not happy with the way things are going. The government will receive lots of thump up if improvements in deliveries to the public is realized.

You seem to have a good idea on where to approach the problem. the truth is most of the approach to strengthen these state instate have failed , it only take a discerning approach to make it work , as you suggested! you won't believe the police are the worse! Go there to report a case and you will regret it , as if they are doing you a favor , unless you tip them and pay for dropping to carry them to the scene, you will have no one taking you serious!!!
