I witnessed a horrible scene at a dog meat joint at Maamobi yesterday. Unusually, Atik Mohammed was late to this spot yesterday.

When Atik arrived at about 2.30 pm the meat seller who thought Atik would not come had sold the dog head to someone else. Unfortunately before this patron finished enjoying the dog head Atik arrived. On seeing the other patron enjoying his favourite cut, he warned the meat seller that he hoped his dog head was still there. But when the woman said she thought Atik would not come he flew into an uncontrollable rage, insulting the woman in unprintable language.

New patrons were shocked at the incident but the regulars explained that everybody knows that the dog head is always reserved for Atik. To register his protest Atik refused to eat dog meat yesterday but only drank pito. He vented the rest of his anger on his car by driving off in a very furious shriek!!!

After 4 years, it is necessary to give way to others to serve. NDC is not the property of a selected few. Let as many people as possible have a chance in serving. I hate people who make career out of politics!
