After all, only 500,000 people vote ion volta region whilst 2,500,000 vote in the Ashanti region.

Additionally, the few people who vote for the NDC in Ashanti region are from non-Ashanti areas like the zongoes.

Until the NPP understands that people have the right to decision and openly respect that like Kuffour did, they will be booted out year after year after year, just like it happened in 1948 till now.

In my view as an abserver, I think the time for the Ghanaian election and the swering in is just too short. For instance the USA voted long before the Ghanaian election, yet the President elect is yet to be sworn into the office. The good thing about this is that it gives everybody enough time to prepare for this all important event. In the case of Ghana the people went for the election on December 7, 2012 for the President elect to be sworn in within 30days is really unthinkable. How can any serious people ask the outgoing party who has been in office for four years and has no idea if they are going to win or loose the election take thirty days to prepare any reasonable handing over to the incoming party. I believe Ghanaians are responsible for the confusion of what is happening after the election. If there were ample time given, the court could have made a decision before the president could be sworn in. In this case how do you expect some one to be sworn in before a court judgement which affect the very person? If the court rules in favor of the petitioner what will you expect? We need to sit down and think and to learn to do good things. Sometimes our law makers behave like they are babes. We need to grow in this area too.

Instead of focussing on the court action, the NPP leadership is looking on while their misguided youths are planning to demonstrate and disturb the peace we are enjoying. The NPP leadership has a responsibility to ensure that peace prevails. They would be deceiving themselves to think that they have something to gain in any chaotic situation. Anyone who goes to court has only the Judges of the court to convince of how strong his evidence is. So NPP should concentrate on the court and spare us any reckless acts of violence and threats to life and property.
