Osei, it amazing that some people still believe John Agyekum Kuffour to be a member of NPP. Kuffour has never been NPP member and would never be a member. It was a ploy to ride on the ticket of NPP to fame and in the end dump the NPP. That was a well orchestrated plan between him and JJ Rawlings to foil the plans of NPP. Do you remember how Rawlings use to insult Kuffour in public and still Kuffour went ahead with the reconciliation plan? That was part of a comprehensive plan. Let everybody believe that we are enemies in public but lovers in secret. Rawlings was damn scared of Akuffo. He knew he would surely spend the rest of his life in jail. That is why they (NDC) sponsored Kuffour to come into NPP to thwart the efforts of NPPS. I knew from the start that this useless Kuffour wasn't a member of "Kumepreko" group. Everything he did towards the end of his term was a mere portrayal of his diabolical intentions to disrupt the plans of Akuffo and the NPPIANS to send JJ Rawlings to jail. I had the premonitions that this would be the end. For this reason, this doesn't surprise me one little bit. Kuffour and Afari Djan have totally sold the Akans and Ghanaians for that matter.

There is no gain-saying the fact that these events will shake their faith and their support tremendously.

Where do they go from here, Who do they trust? Indeed, WHO WILL STAND WITH THEM IN TIMES LIKE THIS?

( as if pre-empting the decison of the Supreme Court) is also a slap in the face, and even worse than rubbing salt in your already painful wounds.

As these foot-soldiers have come to the realisation that the top hierarchy have stepped on their (foot-0soldiers) hard tortoise-shell backs to achieve their personal gains, this is really a worrying time and one for sober reflection.

The smaller Parties must take advantage of this as there may be defections, and won't the foot-soldiers be justified?

Afterall,what more do you have to pay for some stupid BLIND LOYALTY?

Nana has more supports then Mahama. The people who voted in only kumasi for Nana is more than the the three northern region.
Presidency is number of people voted. Nana had more votes than Mahama.
Mahama is only a winner if we were living in UK. The party chose their leader, not in ghana where every vote counts to elect a president.

Indeed some many of us didn't like the idea of ex-Prez. Kuffour attending the inauguration of John Mahama, the man cannot be blamed or prevented from attending the ceremony. It's all in the national interest, esp. when he's been former Prez. and now a respected statesman. The worst scinario was him to have sent a rep, just as many Western Countries like the US, UK and others did. You simply cannot remove yourself from it, except on health reasons. Kuffour is in good health; he therefore has no excuse. He'd be seen as unpatriotic and a nation wrecker, esp. knowing that the "Sasabonsam" party is the one in the spotlight. We don't have to worry so much. Being part or attending the ceremony is a plus for Kuffour and the NPP.

No matter which direction the verdict goes, the whole world will commend Ghana for what we've done; they'll see that the NPP is a bunch of matured and inteligent people. This court challenge is an eye-opener; it will forever bring about electoral reforms. The NDC have been rigging elections since 1992, to date. It's not right! Infact it's a big disgrace. Electoral fraud is a serious matter and it's time we put a stop to it.

I just cannot imagine how John Mahama feels right now, although he's been sworn in as President. Let's hope the Supreme Court would have the courage to make the right ruling on this electoral fraud that took place in December.

In other european countries like Germany, there is not even a public inauguration for a political head of government, since he/she will be sworn in at parliament. In addition, anytime she/he loses majority in parliament, the parliament will be dissolved. Hence, there is no need for any political party to concede defeat. Conceding defeat is a purly British/American tradition!

Kufuor came into office and saw a defective constitution that elects a dictator who appoints over 4,000 Cabinet, Regional, District, City and metro chief executives and Agency heads such as ECG, PURC, etc. He never bothered to change it but rather took advantage of it. How can you run a democracy when one man appoints all executives and towns and districts and has so much power!
Kufuor had no love for nation but seized all opportunities for self serving and aggrandizement including ordering a $3.6 million gold chains and putting one around his own neck first.
Kufuor damaged the NPP brand as a brand of selfish and greedy individuals and that is why a military dictatorial junta turned into a political party would even come close to 50% of the nation.
All NPP leaders should distant themselves form Kufuor if they want any chance of future success.

Today in our political dispensation which is filled with individualism/selfishness instead of collective way of thinking and doing things and show of open mindedness, President Kuffuor has proven to be a man who is gifted with rich politically sound maturity. No doubt Ghanaians made him president and God approved it for eight years. Nana Addo on the other hand should have cultivated this sense of maturity long ago under Kuffuor through apprenticeship, but laziness, selfishness and arrogance took the better part of him.
Kuffuor refused to have his name shamefully dragged in the mud and penned down at the wrong side of history books by Nana Addo who has already tarnished his image and only working hard to make his name inerasable at the wrong side of history books.
It is about time the blind followers of Nana Addo pinches themselves very hard, endure the bitter pain, wake up from their ignorant sleep and wash their faces with facts of reality garnished with wisdom and common sense. What they know not is that Nana knows he is carrying a heavy shameful load and he wants to have others help him carry it for the rest of his life. Kuffuor wisely saved his head and neck from such a load.
I leave Nana with his followers this old ‘joke’ that is not funny at all but a wakeup call; a joke pregnant with wisdom told by many grandparents. ‘It is only a foolish fly that follows a corpse to the grave’

Long ago, we were taught Civics for Self-Government in elementary school. This subject was a form of political education which, irrelevant as it seemed those days enables us today to understand the nuances of politics without necessarily dabbling in politics. Is it still taught?

As a former President of Ghana, protocol dictates that Mr Kuffour attends the inauguration. In the same vein protocol dictates that he is still accorded the privileges he enjoyed as the President of Ghana in terms of security, travels, e.t.c, e.t.c.

Is it any wonder that some political leaders can whip up their supporters into a frenzy at the least opportunity, when such supporters would have acted differently if they are well-informed and could differentiate between perceptions and reality in any given situation.

Do you remember that when the AU leader, BONI first visited Kuffuor immediately the election results were announced, he categorically pointed to the AU chairman that the results were inaccurate and that the elections were rigged in favour of the incumbent NDC?
sO, KUFFUOR is aware that the NPP has a legitimate course of action to take.
If the court goes through the petition of NPP and they find merit in NPP's case, then, the Supreme Court has the power to annul or invalidate the Electoral Commission's announcement of the results and declare Nana Addo the winner of the December 7 and 8 elections. Period!
So, relax.
