"Ghanaians are waiting for jobs and opportunities". But where are they to come from, who is to provide the jobs. Do not tell me it is the government, for this has been our bane for so long since we are waitng for someonelse to creat jobs for us. The role of the government is to creat a conduisive environment- and Ghana has it- where people can use their initiatives and talents to creat wealth for themselves and the nation. There are several opportunities in the country. The right type of peaceful environment exists in Ghana. Get up and work using God given talents and you will see the progress you will make for yourself and mother Ghana. Do no sit down for President John Mahama to creat a job and come and call you to take. Many of us in Ghana when they think of job it is the kind that they will dress immaculately and go and sit in an air-conditioned office and sleep or watch TV, read sports and at the end of the month they would be paid huge sums of money as salaries and they will go on boozing sprees. Do you recon the number of people living in Ghana? If the role government lead by any president of this nation is to give jobs as you and many other ghanaians wrongly supposed how on earth could it satisfy the demand of Ghanaians? Any government or politician that claims it/he is going to creat jobs is simply being deceiptve,it/he can only creat an enabling environment for the people. It is now private people who creat jobs, they have the money and know what is needed at any particular time and seize on the opportunities. The nationals are to creat their own jobs using their initiatives and their brains. Debunnk your hope that the government is to creat jobs for you or any body and work hard on your own in the good envronment that God has blessed Ghana with to creat your own job. With that you will also make sure it(your job or business) runs well and since you will be making losses if it doesn't,and the unconcerned attitude of many of us towards things because we think they are for "government" will come to be something of the past. For this reason, entrepreneurs who will open businesses and recruit the people to transform them into workers, should be the prime focus of the new President, who wishes to see a vibrant economy during his reign.
