  I HAVE ALWAYS SUGGESTED THAT, ARMED ROBBERS, IF ARRESTED AND FOUND GUILTY, SHOULD BE SENTENCED TO DEATH BY FIRING SQUAD BY HANGING. THIS WILL DEFINITELY DETER THEM TO AT LEAST MINIMIZE THE SITUATION.

  The route and location where the robbery and killings happened are Teleku-Bokazo- Salma road and Aluku respectively and not Nkroful, the Distrcit capital. It is not clear from the story whether two taxi drivers or the two gold dealers were killed by the robbers.Looking at the geographical nature of the area and poor state of the road,DISEC has to intensify its operations along that stretch of the road to Simpa Junction on the main Tarkwa road.On the dawn of Saturday before the road side robbery a gold dealer was attacked by unknown armed robbers at his residence at Nkroful. The incident has since been reported to Nkroful police for police investigation to fish out the robbers.From all indications the security situation at Nkroful Mining zone(i.e Nkroful, Teleku-Bokazo and Salma) needs to be intensified to protect life and property. It has now become obvious that the police personnel there must be strengthened in number and equipment to enable them do their work effectively.Thank you.
