Afari-Gyan thought he could use grammar to bail himself out of the greatest heist that he visited on Ghanaians since 1992 when for the first time in the history of elections the world over, voting was conducted in opaque ballot boxes.

Little did he know that numbers don't lie, and that the truth is just like cork which never sinks in water.

Having advised his masters the NDC to raid NPP offices to seize any evidence that will unearth his criminal activities during the fraudulent elections, which they totally failed due to the vigilance and diligence of the NPP's 'big brain' , Afari-Gyan decided to engage in "Fiifi-Kweteyism" to legitimize his crimes.

NPP is stretching the patience of Ghanaians thin by taking our political and economic system once again hostage. The impact of this reckless behavior is economically and politically huge hence irresponsible. Jake, your lopsided Maame water story to wit mermaid tales is awash with a tunnel view. You condemn the EC of rigging votes in favour Mahama with selected evidence as it pleases you. Whilst you fault the EC which is constitutionally responsible for elections in Ghana for malpractices in some constituencies you fail to mention whether this failure could have also taken place in the NPP core areas. How can the EC be angel in your regions and the devil incarnate in other areas? This in itself raises doubt about your objectivity if you ever had one. Your tunnel vision of flawed EC system in 8 regions of the country will not wash with the SC which is also our constitutional court. If the election was flawed, how come it only took place in only NDC core areas? And to make matters worse the NPP poll observers signed the final results. Were they drunk whilst signing the documents?

Your presentation is awash with self-aggrandisement. Jake your wisdom, if you ever had one, is decreasing with your advance in age. No man with a clean conscience will come out with such porous evidence and sign off with by saying we are going on a thank you [incitement/provocation] emphasis mine tour. The only way to save your bruised faces is to acknowledge defeat in order to avoid a lasting scare in the long term. You Mate Mehu NPP guys are cruising in for more bruising because you are not learning from experience.

The NPP’s sorry excuse is to contest the presidential results but not the parliamentary results? How!?! Both are in Tandem. If a total of over 14 million voters were registered by the EC but only close to 12 million exercised their votes; where in the world does the tally amount to excess votes!?! Except that NPP would like to tell the whole world that 12 million is greater or more than 14 million (12>14 NPP arithmetic logic). We cannot endlessly continue to push your stupidity ceiling above the stratosphere. You are so consumed with it.

These are historical facts which any serious judge sitting on SC panel will have to take into consideration in its ruling. The aforementioned episodes are hard facts which cannot be neglected.

The foolsoldiers pardon foot soldiers should be demanding the head of Akomea, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey and company. Instead they go on the rampage and besiege the party prince Kufuor’s residence. The NPP will have to acknowledge defeat pretty soon to avoid a lasting damage. Their petition to the SC is so porous, ill logic and is not going anywhere. It is irresponsible to take the country hostage each bloody time you lose an election. The stigma of a terrorist party will not go away if the NPP continue on this path. Taking a whole nation hostage by creating unnecessary tension and fear is act of terrorism. Full stop! Ghanaians will not surrender to the juggernaut of Mate Mehu NPP.

Statistically speaking, it is sheer impossible to overturn over 300,000 votes in favour of Akufo Addo without scrutinizing the results of NPP core areas. The NPP faint hope of the SC calling a rerun is diminishing by the day if not by the hour. The constitution of Maame/Daavi Ghana is our holy grail. The NPP cannot cherry pick the constitution like plucking a mango from a tree. First they go for the ripe and juicy ones and leave the green ones for all and sundry. No to all forms of greed. No to corruption of the mind and its ripple effects.

The NPP is fighting a losing battle. Wallahi! NPP will lose this ill conceived case at the SC before it gets wings to fly.

Meanwhile, while the wranglings are going on, certain officials and non officials will take advantage of the situation and steal as much state money as they can.
This happens with every election or anticipated change in Government. Such 'stolen money' will be 'insurance' for any eventuality.

What is then wrong with Dr Afari Gyan,through his solicitor,responding to that petition? This actually is the end of NPP. Even we(laymen), by his(Gyan's)attorney's explanation,vividly understand that NPP has no case. It is not necessarily obligatory that Gyan must appear in court when he is not invited. So Mr man wait till he is summoned and he does not go before you would have something to say. Good day.

The swearing-in of the president marked the end of the road for the NPP. Theoretically it is possible for the swearing-in to reversed by in reality it is IMPOSSIBLE! The earlier they understand that and start organizing for 2016 the better for them. Nana Addo lost fairly to a better candidate. JDM will serve his full four year term and no court can subvert the will of the majority of Ghanaians who voted for him. The sub region, the continent and the world as a whole have recognised JDM as winner of a transparent, free and fair election.

You need grammar to respond to a court case not broken english.
Npp did not use 10 days to petition the court so the EC will need similar amounts of time to give an appropriate and factual response. Their initial response will be to fight the case by responding within 10 days, thereafter prepare documentaion and all evidences needed to counter the suit. They will let the court know all the facts when NPP proves their points with the doctored figures they have. It is only NPP who can explain where they got the figures from and then the EC will look at them to determine where NPP has miscalculated and explain to the court and that will be there for everybody to see.
The SC together with the kuffour govt did not allow the IFC to testify in Tsikata's case and the result was injustice so this time around we want to see justice. Tsikata was an individual but the EC and NDC are not and moreover Ghanaians as a whole will this time hold the judges and the whole of the judiciary responsible for their corruption.

To Jake and the NPP party and its supporters-

As an independent thinker, with no party affiliation or connection, I stand with you in your quest for justice and for seeking a fair and clean elections.

However, I believe it is about time you, your party and its supporters accept the peaceful situation in our country right now and join hands with the ruling party to rebuild, or continue to build, the foundation for a better Ghana.

To validate my point, I currently live in the United States and I have witnessed four or more presidential elections here in the USA, in which I voted and I can tell you that there has never been a time after an election that the vanquished had not complain of an unfair results or cried foul. However, the country keeps moving forward.

While I applaud the NPP for voicing out its grievances over the results of the recent elections, it will be best for our motherland (Ghana), if you and your party recognise that peace for the country supercedes any individual interests. No one person is bigger and/or larger than what is happening in our country in this generation. At this point, it will be best for your party to leave the ruling party and the just inaugurated president to concentrate its and his energy and resources towards building a better Ghana for all.

When you have a case before the Supreme Court, it is no use calling press conferences to assume that the case will be decided in your favour. And it is certainly school boy politics to start commenting on the respondent's case.

No where in the press conference does Jake now talk about biometric verification. Now he says verification. He extols the wisdom of the drafters of the constitution when the consultative committee's sittings were boycotted by the NPP tradition.

He goes on to say "Elections in Ghana must not be determined by who has the capacity to rig or buy the vote with connivance from some corrupted elements within the body tasked to supervise a clean and fair process." But he does not provide any evidence of the EC conniving with the NDC to rig the elections. His evidence does not substantiate the NPP calling the election at 51% in favour of Akuffo Addo.

All die be die indeed but this dying is going to be painful and long.

This is the highest court of our land, and unfortunately, it is not a trial court, but it interpretes the constitutionality of a case. Mahamah is not on trial, and Afari Gyan too is not on trial. The EC is a commissioner, with deputies, Regional and district officers, including all these returning officers, the polling agents and the representatives of the parties. Dr Afari Gyan is quite learned and therefore writes good grammar as evidenced by Jake himself. He has the constitutional mandate to announce a winner, in a specific frame time, andl according to his records, and what figures collated for him, he did his onerous job to the nation. Where do you know of the president, having been duly sworn in, had been asked by the supreme court to step down, for the oposition with a minority (25 parlimentarians short), to be declared the president? I need only one example. I am not a consitutional expert, but I tell you that, the NPP will surely fall. The only way, it could have been possible, is where the constitution, had placed an injuction on the inauguration, but in this case, it is none of these. Thank you but don't hope for a wishful dream.

We contend that when all of these 5 categories are combined, over 1 million 342 thousand votes will be invalidated. That is a monstrous sum! Imagine: 1 in every 8 votes declared by the EC were invalid.

Consider that only 300,000 votes separated the 2 candidates in the EC announcement, yet that sum, plus 1,000,000 more, will be invalidated. That is the astonishing and devastating evidence on the pinksheets.

Consider that only 150,000 invalid Mahama votes are required to push him below 50% and therefore force a runoff, yet nearly 6 times that amount have been identified as invalid Mahama votes."

THE NPP EVIDENCE IS NOT ON THE PINK SHEETS, IT IS IN THEIR ARITHMETIC MISTAKE OF ADDING UP THOSE CATEGORIES!

Polling stations without the presiding officer's signature may have involved no biometric verification, a mismatch between words and figures, etc. This means that the five categories above are not necessarily non-overlapping categories. Therefore, adding the votes in these categories as the NPP did is double counting or multiple counting and leads to an inflation of the alleged number of illegal votes.” This effectively buttresses what Mr. Asiedu Nketia said earlier on: “We don’t have a problem with whatever they are talking about in terms of the numbers on the register but our problem is for them to assume that they by their won reckoning have seen that there is a bloated register so therefore all the bloating converts into votes that have been added to the tallying of President Mahama and I think that is where we come back to what I have said all along that the NPP has problem with logic and they have problem with mathematics.” See: "The NPP Does Not Even Have A Prima Facie Case!", Feature Article, by Nana Akyea Mensah, The Odikro.

Nana Akomea, the Communications Director of the NPP, can spare us the yarns that they have presented the court with “solid documentary evidence to back each of the claims that we are making”. The NPP cannot prove before the Supreme Court that 1+1=3, or 4 or perhaps, in this case, a whopping 1,340,018! The major obstacle facing the NPP is not the law, the conduct of the elections, the availability of “solid documentary evidence” but a simple struggle with additions and subtractions. The evidence as presented, is mathematically nonsensical, legally untenable, and politically vexatious. There is nothing out there that can substantiate a mathematically impossible proposition, except probably in quantum physics, where both candidates can be winners and losers at the same time. Such a scenario however, is more likely in a university lab, than we are likely to see at the Supreme Court!

The 127,000 you seem so obsessed about could have been picked up by anybody and is the difference between the 14,158,890 REGISTERED VOTERS called in ERROR during the announcement at the declaration MINUS the ACTUAL VOTER REGISTRATION figures of 14,031,793 CORRECTLY POSTED at the EC website when they realised the error themselves.

So the EC spotted the error in the announcement and posted the correct figure in the public domain. What you fail to explain to we the general public is that VOTER REGISTRATION IS NOT THE SAME AS ACTUAL VOTER TURNOUT which was around 80% and is WHAT COUNTS. Is it more convenient for you to leave that out of the conversation?
