Even you can contest these elections results if you are indeed a Ghanaian and have the wherewithal. Amissah and Adjei can apply to join if there is room in the law for them as respondents but not some party. In law you follow what the rules say not what is desirable to you. The Young Patriots or any Afia Mansa might as well apply to join in as petitioners then going by your warped logic. Remember the law is designed in that way as the election to the Presidency is the individual. In practice it can be through independent indivuals or affliation to parties. When you critically examine the activities of Woyome ever since Mahama was declared by the EC, there are serious questions to be asked why all of a sudden this man now talks with vim and authority
Could this be a clear indication that what Woyome stole might have been used to fund his campaign or this is mere coincidence? Woyome now speaks with some authority and appears to suggest what Mahama should do or not do nowadays. We know when Atta Mills was in power, Woyome was not talking like this.
He has even warned NDC founder to shut up on issues concerning Mahama or else he will expose him.
He has been seen several times in the corridors of power. To make sense about what I am saying, let us look at Mahama appointments made so far.
People like Oduro Barton have been promoted even though he aided and abetted Woyome in this crime of stealing about $51,000,000.00 from the people of Ghana. We know from .court proceedings and documents in the public domain that Oduro Barton was the main architect that refused to represent the people of Ghana when there were clear and solid evidence available to him that indicate Woyome has no contract with the state. Instead of going to court to overturn the original ruling, he advised the state to pay Woyome. Now
Now let us analyse this, who in his right mind would promote someone whose actions or inactions caused massive financial loss to the state and this Woyome scandal could have caused NDC this election.
Now Oduro Barton has been promoted, was this promotion based on his performance as deputy Attorney general. This is a hell no and even a class 2 pupil would agree with me.
Was his promotion based on his personal contributions towards NDC victory? This could be answer in both yes and no.at one point or the other. The answers are;
No, His contribution to NDC victory was non-existent because his role in the Woyome scandal nearly cost NDC this election. Many NDC supporters agree to this.
Yes, His contribution in this Woyome scandal provided money to fund Mahama’s campaign and his reward is a promotion to the role of a senior minister. Is this making sense?
The only possibility here to justify his promotion is, John Mahama to saying thank you to Oduro Barton for his contribution in his election. Could Mahama tell Ghanaians what Oduro Barton did to deserve a promotion. Could this promotion be a thank you for his role in the Woyome Scandal that provided Money to fund his Campaign? His appointment is among the first to be made.
Let us wait and see if we can make sense of what Woyome is telling Mahama to do and if his ideas are implemented, we can then draw lines on the likely connection between the money stolen and the money used to fund the NDC headquarters building and the NDC campaign funds. Should Betty Mould Iddrrisu be nominated as well, we can then conclude this argument.
Is can then analyse the possibilities of Mahama having a hand in the activities of Woyome to steal from Ghana?
Atta Mills was very committed to retrieving this money and die suddenly. We are not aware of what actually killed him but were told by the NDC propaganda machine not. We were never told what exactly killed him but are aware that he died with blood coming from his mouth and nose similar to those who die of poisoning.
His brother Cadman Mills said he died of Stroke. This has been ruled out by my research in Medical Science.
People who die of stroke do not have blood coming from their nose or mouth.
The 37 Military Hospital commanders came out to say, he died from a ruptured blood vessel.
Further medical research suggested there is only a 1 to a billion chance of this happening to a person with cancer of the throat. However If this happens, they do not choke on their own blood blocking their own airways. This is only possible with people also having Asthma and could only have been the cause of death if these happen simultaneously with an Asthma attack.
We know Professor Atta Mills was not Asthmatic and never had this This also rules this option out as cause of death based on probability of occurrence of both Asthma and a blood vessel rupture.
To make matters worse, this scenario is impossible to happen to someone who manages his cancer very well.
Atta Mills while alive was known to be managing his cancer so well with very frequent trips to the United States and receiving chemotherapy even at the Castle.
Lethal Poisoning is the only possibility in this scenario that can’t be ruled out by medical science?
Was Atta Mills poisoned? If this is true. Then who might have poisoned Atta Mills? Why would someone want to kill Atta Mills dead? What would that person achieve by getting rid of Atta Mills? Was it because he wanted to take over from him? There are several questions to be asked.
We know he had cancer and the state of his health after his return from the United States was not very terrible. He did some commissioning days before he dropped dead.
For him to drop dead just like that raises more questions among Ghanaians especially his family in the central region. No wonder he appears very frequently in our dreams trying to say something.
Was Atta Mills’s death due to his Cancer or was this an act of a man looking to succeed him?
Why his post mortem report was not made public? Was this a cover up by someone behind this act?
Only God knows the truth but the good books says those who live by the sword dies by the sword.

Q: Why is the NPP in court?
A: According to Article 64 (1) of the 1992 Constitution:
“The validity of the election of the President may be challenged only by a citizen of
Ghana who may present a petition for the purpose to the Supreme Court within twentyone days after the declaration of the result of the election in respect of which the
petition is presented”.
We have chosen to challenge the 2012 election in the Supreme Court of Ghana, because of
numerous irregularities – the sum total of which, once amended, will invalidate the declared
results and make Nana Akufo-Addo the legitimate winner.
Q: What are the votes at stake?
A: Over 1,340,000 votes from 4,709 polling stations out of the over 24,000 polling stations
sampled by the NPP are invalid due to the irregularities and breach of electoral laws; hence all
8 presidential candidates for the 2012 election will have their votes at these polling stations
deducted from the declared obtained results.
Q: What is the impact?
A: John Mahama had over 916,000 invalid votes included in his total.
He therefore will receive 48.26% of the valid votes, instead of the 50.70% declared by the Electoral
Commission on December 9.Similarly, Nana Akufo-Addo receives 50.28% of the valid votes, as opposed to 47.74%, making him the outright winner once our evidence is taken into account.

Q: What reliefs does the NPP Seek?
A: The NPP prays that the Supreme Court declares:
(1) That John Dramani Mahama, the 1st Respondent in the petition, was wrongfully
declared as President-elect of the Republic of Ghana.
(2) That Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the 1st Petitioner in the petition, rather was
validly elected President of the Republic of Ghana.
(3) Consequential orders as the Supreme Court may deem fit.

Q: Does the court have the power to invalidate the election results and declare another
candidate the winner?
A: Article 64 (2) of the 1992 Constitution says:
“A declaration by the Supreme Court that the election of the President is not valid shall
be without prejudice to anything done by the President before the declaration”.

Furthermore, Section 19 of PNDC law 284, the Representation of the People’s Act, also states that a court can declare that a named person did not win an election but another person did. This means that the Supreme Court has the absolute power to invalidate the results of an election brought before it and as such declare
another contestant the winner of that same election.

Q: What impact does the inauguration have on the Court’s decision?
A: The inauguration has
absolutely no impact either on the Supreme Court’s proceedings, or its decisions. The
Supreme Court has every authority to declare election results invalid, and if it says so, John
Mahama will no longer be President. The inauguration is absolutely NOT a point of no return.
Q: Why is John Mahama a respondent?
A: In the case of an election challenge, the respondents include not only the Electoral
Commission, but also the person whose election is challenged. As the petition filed by Nana
Akufo-Addo, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey and Dr. Bawumia at the Supreme Court challenges the
election of the NDC’s Presidential Candidate, he is therefore a respondent named in the case.

Moreover, I believe the SC will not only look at the merits of the case, but will take the best interests of the country into consideration in arriving at a decision.

Remember that Dr Afari-Gyan is himself a High Court judge and understands the legal considerations to be taken by the SC and how it operates.

NPP is only scared of Tsatsu being appointed as head of the NDC team of lawyers. NPP will agree for NPP to be a joinder only if Tsatsu steps aside, period. It is going to be tit-for-tat.

I am not sure a court can overturn the will of the people.If there were mistakes during the conduct of the election,it should be fixed for the next election.Even the developed countries do have problems with hang charts.Akuff ...

The electoral commission admitted making an error about the total registered voters. Thus instead of 14,031,793, the commission mistakenly recorded 14,158,890. This opens an avenue for the NPP to persue its case, since there is the possibility that more errors may have been committed. The differnence in the figures is 127,097. The figure is too marginal to cause any change in the results provided that no further errors are found. No judge in his right frame of mind will nullify a costly election like this ( according to the standards of Ghana).Even going further Mahama recorded 5,574,761 votes to secure the win. Nana Addo also recorded 5,248,898 votes. If we assumed that all the 127,097 votes were stolen and given to President Mahama, when that figure is taken out of the number of votes from Mahama, Mahama will still emerge as a winner. Illustration 5,248,898 + 127,097 = 5,375,995. Note that 5,375,995 is less than 5,574,761. Unless Nana can make a magic. The other scenerio will be given all the 127,097 to Nana Addo, he will still fall short and when that number is doubled to total 254,194 and added to Nana's total votes Mahama will still beat Nana 71,669. I think Nana is fighting a losing battle.
