What is 'uneducated' about their action? Just take the trouble to go through their petition and try to counter the arguments. Even Afari Djan has admitted that the 127,000 votes added to Mahama's was an error. And that happens to be one of the NPP's arguments.
Please let us behave like true Ghanaian democrats and accept that wrongs should be corrected for our development. A dangerous legal precedent cannot augur well for our fledgling democracy. The truth should be made to prevail at all times.

I do not personally know this Kofi Wayo guy. I have only seen him on telly or read about him in the newspapers. My impression of him is that he takes himself far more seriously than he is. The affected American accent, the hats, infact the whole demeanour smacks of someone who has realised at a late stage, that life has almost passed him by. He is very pretentious, articulating common issues as if he is the only one that knows them. I have never once read or heard from him somehing that is original. He is so condescending I sometimes wonder if he ever lived in Ghana before going abroad.

In the 2004 elections the NDC challenged the election results at the supreme court. Mills and Rawlings boycotted the inauguration of President Kufuor. Victor smith then announced they wouldn`t even watch it on TV.

Prior to the elections in 2008 Mills warned that the NDC would not entertain any attempt by the NPP to steal the verdict of the people again.He warned the nation to expect mayhem if the party suspects the results of the December polls were rigged in favour of the NPP. He threatened to turn Ghana into Kenya if elections were rigged in favour of the NPP.

Your NDC even boycotted the state of the nation address by President Kufuor in 2007. Needless to mention the numerous times when they boycotted parliament as well.

I dont see, what is wrong with NPP following the legal means to address their grievances. I dont see, why NDC is talking nonesense like the NPP is disgracing the President. If they know they have legitimacy of the people, why should this process lead to a disgrace? It should rather enhance the image of President Mahama, when it comes out that he won on his own merit. Instead of talking substance to the issue, they are coming up with wild and baseless accusations. If its a disgrace to the President, then its an admission, that the integrity of our election is questionable and if anything should come out, that the Preisdent and EC stole the election, then it would be a disgrace to the President.

In certain African countries where leaders have tried to hang onto power the society has spoken through wars. Wars have brought about peace and they now value elections. Their elections have become free and fair with no rigging. That cannot be said about Ghana. There is a lot of rigging especially in the Volta region. It is time to do same in Ghana. When people see war then they will realize the importance of not rigging elections in a civilized society. From the Northern region to the south,we need war so people can stop fooling whenever it's time for elections. I can see Ghanaians crying for war through the rigging of elections.

I don't know iif the NPP takes all comments that Ghanaians make into consideration. It is ok to go to Court but the most important thing is to analyse the elections beyond that. The real problem is the NPP does not accept the ability of the Ghanaian electorate to make make the right decision. They threatened to go to court in the 2008 election and are now challenging the 2012 election. The NPP does not trust the EC and the Ghanaian electorate but themselves. I don't see how Ghana can ever have credible elections if what makes them credible is that the NPP wins.
Sure Ghana needs all parties on board but not without NPP doing some soul searching to develop a wining strategy. I am afraid at the end of the SC process they may not trust the court too.

A statement from my article "Is the NPP turning Ghana into a banana republic" This latest move by the NPP and its supporter including those elected to parliament to boycott the inauguration of Mr. Mahama is outrageous, unpatriotic at best and divisive.If they believe in democracy and rule of law as they have been claiming, then they should petition the Supreme Court for an injunction to put the inauguration on hold until the case is decided as opposed to calling for a boycott. Injunction would have been the right course of action. Now Ghana is really looking like a banana republic!
