It is alive and well in Ghana. Take for example, Information Ministry. How can you have two deputies? Efficiency does not mean bigger government. You are paying 2 people to do the work for 1 person.

NDC losing that seat was a referendum on Asaga but not the NDC.

I said this to many just after 2008 election that if Asaga goes again he will lose looking at the way he performed in 2004 and 2008 which he failed to improve on more especially when he became a minister again and it is the reason why I feel we need to introduce reforms in the NDC to allow everybody who is a party member to vote in our primaries to select the candidate acceptable to majority of the people but not the one who can afford few cedi notes to dash out to just a small fraction of the people we call delegates only to lose in the general election.
Mr Asaga is not the only one but few others who lost to the NPP and the independents.

That said,I can guarantee here that Agambila is only going to parliament as a "visitor" for 4 years,he will
not win again to return to parliament in 2017.
I said this about Ambrose Dery and Samia but some did not believe it until it happened.

If Asaga wants to return to parliament then he should start doing his homework now not to remain in Accra much of the time or give way to a freshman who will take the seat back to its rightful owners.

This is all the more remarkable as it demonstrates that people in the Nadam area are quite happy to vote for either NDC or NPP as they see fit. I hope other constituencies and regions will learn the lesson. Good luck to him! ...

If there was no opponent who worked hard to challenge him, he will still be there despite all his wrong doings, so what is your point? Use your brains to analyze issues and stop being a dunderhead.

Surely if you want to represent a constituency, you need to understand their sensibilities and never take people for granted. If as the writer is saying, the Hon. Asaga has represented the constituency for 16 years, is it possible that he might have become complacent or somehow taken his constituents for granted? Please enlighten us.

HE ACCEPTED DEFEAT HONORABLY!And I guess there is no animosity between the two rivals! Both are honorable men. And Nabdam is sending strong signals about Ghana's model democracy.

The chieftaincy dispute issue was in the news and some supporters of Boniface even had an article published on Ghanaweb. Whatever, I congratulate the new MP and the people of Nabdam for punishing one of the politicians who have been trying to consolidate their local bases by sponsoring the usurption of traditional stools and skins. If we have these corrupt politician take over the traditional authorities too, we are toast!

BTW, this claim is also false.

It is NOT biblical principle, as we all know that is magical conjuring tons of fish from one to be given people to eat free and manna from heaven dependency. That saying is from a Chinese maxim, about teaching the hungry man by the river to fish instead of giving him fish. I used it on a new customer (new in London, btw) who wanted me to top up his pay-as-you-go Lycamobile yesterday.
