When the dinner was nearly over, Little Johnny went to the kitchen and proudly carried in the first piece of Banku, giving it to his father who passed it to a guest. Little Johnny came in with a second piece of Banku and gave it to his father, who again gave it to a guest.

THE AIRPORT HAS PPL WALKING IN THERE BAREFOOT. THE PAINT ON THE WALL WERE PEELING OFF AND THE ROOF ON THE ARRIVAL AREAS WAS CAVING IN. I MEAN, DO OUR SO CALLED LEADERS NOT HAVE ANY FORESIGHT OR VISION FOR GH?

ITS LIKE TELLING A DIRTY, UGLY, SMELLY GIRL SHE IS MISS WORLD...MUAHAHAHAAAAAA. PPL OVERSEAS CANT AFFORD TO PAY 200 DOLLARS A NITE TO STAY IN A HOTEL IN GH, BUT GHFUO TRAVEL TO NORTH AMERICA AND THEY ARE ABLE TO AFFORD HOTELS OVER HERE. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG

Kakum (canopy forest) you get to walk on this breath taking suspended walk way over the forest. ( real adventure) Paga Croc pond,where you get to sit on live croc, hans cottage in cape coast you get to sit on live croc for a picture, Axim turtle beach, Holy trinity spa and health farm , Wli waterfalls natural fall in its natural env. Mole national park for all the live african animals ie Elephants, hippos in their natural habitat.. Tefle Monkey santuary where monkeys live with the local in the community in their natural habitat. and many more. please enjoy yourself whiles note that the people are very friendly and may ask for something a toffee or picture would do. thanks.

One public menace to this country, drug peddling of cocain, heroin etc etc need to be seriously and aggresively fought against by all the people of this country, especially the judiciary and the law enforcement agencies. Just imagine a country like Ghana with no Int. Commercial Airline of its own, yet scoring such heights in the international picture of tourism, speaks a lot for our culture, hospitality and many more as we are as one people. Please people of Ghana comee together and say a big no to drug traficking across the nation. If the landlord(s) and the nyarlor are both fined the landlord will sooner reclaim the misused tiafi and charge the offending tenant themeslves and account it to AMA. Revenue to be made to pay those who keep the beaches clean. All you need is to catch them, how? pretend you are also shitting i.e the council or municipal officers, and you can take a picture and ask them to pay on the spot fines, be they just throwing away fae or doing it.

Think of it this way in the olden days we had people of all trades. Those who were builders,those who were roofers,lumber cutters, farmers, brick layers who did their work so well they all earned respect, or new titles for them. In the same way if we look after ourselcves, houses, children villages, Towns and cities properly would we also be respected and visitors flood in.

When Newspapers like the New York Times give any city such accolade, it comes with a "deadly price". It is similar to when Columbus landed in the so called "New World" and the natives later found that they are not wanted in their own land.

Accra, being heaped with praises as one of the top travel destinations, will later be knee deep with whatever disease etc. Some travelers do not care to go anywhere and distribute whatever pathogens they have to others.

We have to be careful.

It is a big problem, which has lead to outbreak of chorela in various part of the country. How long will the Accra mayor continue to dance with the piles of trash in lavendar hill. Most private houses in Accra have public private toilets,with toilet water diverted into the gutters which makes most neibourhood smell, I Know the director of AMA is of these nuisance problems. Unfortunately Accra has become a lawless city. Poor sanitaion and flies everywhere. I hope this problem is address as soon as posiblem. All the MPs needs to take a tour inside the accra city and observe this situation, not just sit in their fully air conditioned offices. God help Ghana.

A city where it takes more than three hours to do 3 miles journey because of traffic congestions? A city where electric power goes off in the mist of business meetings? In a city where even a messenges will ask for kick-back before important documents such as files are produced for meetings? A city of worse sanitations,dust,and poor medical health? This NYT reporter, Karen Leigh must be out of her mind.It wasn't about 3 weeks ago that ex-president Rawlings spoke about these poor conditions in Accra.The aim of this article is not to put Ghana down as some may percive it to be but to ginger those in authorities to do what is right to achieve the status this NYT reporter wants visitors to believe. This is good news for a great nation of wonderful people. some people refuse to remove their noses from the gutters, until they do, they will continue to see, smell and dwell in filth and filthy utterances, while completely missing the true beauty of Accra and Ghana in general.

The biggest asset to Ghana's popularity is the nation's culture, which is exemplified by the way in which Ghanaians of different ethinc backgrounds interact peacefully with each other, and the beautiful way in which Ghanaians receive and practically care for visitors to the country.

Ghana is definitely one of the most hospitable countries on earth, and I'm happy that Ghana is an African country.

Jet set without care is not worth much though.

Searching NY Times for 'accra' turned up a 2006 article about delicious foods, kelewele among others,
so they do know what they're talking about.
