When, did the likes of Asiedu Nketia and his connoisseurs in government realize the need to accord Mr Rawlings the respect he deserves as the founder of the NDC party? Why have the regional ministers and even the chiefs in the Volta region suddenly seen the need to intervene and reconcile the NDC, when they were better positioned to have done that in the past or even prevent the conundrum from exacerbating this far? “Lead us not to temptation” is always a wiser prayer in politics than “deliver us from evil”. Professor Atta Mills and the NDC leadership had spurned numerous chances and time offered them to restore peace and harmony in the NDC. The acts and omissions of some party leaders and government officials clearly pointed to a well-orchestrated political agenda to intimidate, humiliate and vilify the former first couple and as well impugn their credibility and relevance in the NDC. They demonized the iconic figure in the party whose individual efforts and instrumentality won President Mills and his “saints” the power that has now clouded their consciousness like a drug and has caused them to rubbish the cardinal principles of conviction, probity and accountability. President Mills and his “boot lickers” obviously misconstrued the insistence of Mr. Rawlings on the need to respect these values on whose back the NDC rode to power.to mean the latter courted sympathy and garnered support for the presidential ambitions of his wife Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings...

Nana Oye Lithur is surrounded by the can-never-marrys, the unmarriageables, the divorcees, the permanent spinsters, the bad wives who are merely mercenaries looking for their husbands' wealth, and the very unfaithful wives.

Oye Lithur is a danger to men and society, so giving her power is a recipe for social chaos and confusion.

The NDC would have to explain to Ghanaians how a dead man came to author and sign a letter!

The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”

The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?

The letter then goes on melodramatically, “As you leaf through these pages of my life’s story, I pray to God that it touches your heart in many positive ways. Weep not, I am not dead. I am alive and awake in the Lord. Ghana will not die; Ghana will live to declare the works of the Lord. Has it ever been heard that appointed and vetted ministers in Ghana, in their reactions to their appointments, indicated they will ever disappoint those who reposed confidence in them and consequently the nation? Not ever! Yet immediately, they forget themselves and their heavenly phrases. They are always 'honoured', 'surprised'(even when they have lobbied for the portfolio), and 'humbled'. As to how humbled their appointment makes them the early weeks of their posturing in office shows. The extent to which their designated portfolio humbles them to be of service to Ghana, the truth is that rather than protect the already 'bruised reed', they break it completely. All these words are shallow in meaning unless they are actually related to practical demeanor of such ministers. By the way, be careful not to propose any bill on gayism legalization. You are well-known for that. I wish you well in your portfolio.

We ask Parliament to seek assurances from Nana Oye that she will not attempt to tamper with our laws. If she will not back down then she must not be approved as a minister.

Whilst I agree with Nana Oye that Gays should not be persecuted but encouraged to stop, I think her advocacy should be limited to that and not beyond. She has lost a lot of appointment because of that reckless stance.
