He was arrested by officers of the Military Police. Yet people are jumping to conclusion that it is because he was a supporter of Nana Akufo Addo and point fingers at John Mahama as being the cause of his arrest. Have the relations of the said officer checked with the Miitary Police to find out why he was arrested? There are so many other crimes that could be committed by the said Militiary officer that must not be linked with Politics. Do the relatives of the arrested officer know how many other people who supported Mahama and have committed crimes unrelated to Politics have been arrested? is Mahama the cause for their arrest. Please for once let us reason without being politically coloured.

If the story is true then the family MUST go to court for habeas corpus application without any further delay. On the other hand, if this story is false but an attempt by anti-Mahama media to tarnish his image, then it's very sad because the paper is tarnishing Ghana's image.

The Military has additional rules and regulations apart from the general laws governing the nation. The Military is not governed by the law which states that when a person is arrested, he must be charged and brought before a court within 48 hrs. You can be held for as long as the Military deems fit.

He has committed an unpardonable offence, that is, visibly suporting a political party. Security personnel are NOT, I repeat NOT to openly support any political party for obvious reasons. Even if he had supported the NDC, he will be arrested and prosecuted, period!!!

We should stop trying to politicise this; leave it to the Military. NPP sacked a lot of security personnel percieved to be pro-NDC during Kuffour's time.

What was he doing a long way away from his place of duty when all leaves had been cancelled and those on leave recalled??? He has brought it on himself.

He must be disciplined to serve as a deterrent to others. We cannot politicise the security services.
