  This is what we want to see in our country. IT students in the various Universities and other training centers should be encouraged to participate in this programs/competition. Entry level should be flexible so as to allow students with IT potentials to paticipates.

  I agree with the poster above, entry level should be flexible. I entered IT and development after tinkering with many different things; I did not get into much of what I do via University (I did another degree entirely.) Some of the most innovative minds are not necessarily great academics. Einstein was continuously told throughout school and even at University that he was stupid and a dreamer. Independent, brave thinkers need to be celebrated, regardless of where they flourish.

  It is high time we develop and embrace crucial competitions like this and not Miss Ghana's and the like where nudity is promoted, adored and projected.
  We now leaving in a world of technology advancement age and this is what serious and countries with foresight have embraced and has helped to arrest corruption, easy way of going about issues and trading activities, easing traffic jams etc. The relevance of technology is not far-fetched. Bravo to the schools who have thought it wise to champion all this important idea. God bless Ghana and Africa.
