For me, I want to beleive the man because from the tone of the article, the woman did not report the matter to the husband immediately on arriving at home but waited for sometime before telling the husband after she was "haunted".

We must not lose sight of the man's version of what transpired. Is it true that the woman stayed for three days at the man's house? This question can best be answered by the husband. That must be reason for the mistrust from the husband.

Women must be cautious when invited by a male friend or an acquaintance to rooms or secluded places.

However, it is VERY wrong for a man to have sex with a married woman; the opposite is also true. We are human beings and not animals; we MUST have restraint in our dealings with the opposite sex.

When you are eating and another person washed his hand and want to partake in the dish you refuse and even take the dish away from him or her. Some people will even go to the extend to spit in the food.
The person did not beg to take part in the dish, but he took a stool and join you at the table. You allowed him to partake in the dish. How then do you say that he did not ask you permission to partake in the food.
In this story the woman in the case did not say that the man at the center of the issue promised to offer her a job for sex.
The fact is that two adults meet agreed to have sex and parted. Why did the chiefs took the money from the man. Are the chiefs saying that the woman is a prostitute, thus sold sex to the man for One Thousand Cedis.
Thus the woman and husband must be charged for selling sex together with the chiefs.

Rape is a criminal offence punishable by prison sentence so why did this lady not report this alleged rape to the police to investigate and prosecute him if found guilty.I wonder if the criminal justice system in Ghana(or Kwahu) has changed hands from police to chiefs.Obviously this is not a matter for the chiefs to handle,it is a matter for the police and the Criminal Justice System.
I hope the NDC authorities will investigate this allegation and apply the necessary disciplinary and punitive measures.I suggest he is relieved of his position(he has already paid the fine which indicates that he is admitted guilt of the crime)Shame unto him.
