  Ghanaian banks and manufacturing companies are not finding it easy in the competition because of constraints
  
  What can the President do? He cannot dole out money to entrepreneurs!

  You have made a valid point Dr but what do you suggest as the solution to the problem since you have learned so much to be called a Dr and you should also know that any country where most of the businesses are in foreign hand ...

  You have made a valid point Dr but what do you suggest as the solution to the problem since you have learned so much to be called a Dr and you should also know that any country where most of the businesses are in foreign hands tells you there is something not right with that country and when did charity not begin at home?
  
  I can tell you from experience that the odds are stacked against the local Ghanaian business owner than the foreign owned. The IMFs and all our so-called donor agencies make sure that their people are allowed to operate in less hostile environment whilst our politicians get their cuts - silk lined pockets

  I have been looking for solution for 49 years. Now that petrol dollar money is in the control of Prez Mahama he is placed in a position to solve the problems within 8 years.
  
  Firstly, China solution was to allow foreign investors to come in and set up industries in China and export the products in order to build up foreign currency reserves. Foreign currency reserve is no problem for China today. But there are still unemployment in China and the China population is the biggest. China is able to invest worldwide and with the investment their citizens go worldwide employed.
  
  Secondly,Prez Mahama must negotiate hard for Joint Venture of foreign investors with local entrepreneurs. This did not work in the past in poor developing countries. With Ghana's petrol dollar, we can succeed in joint ventures. Then ghanaian entrepreneurs would have access to very low ineterest loans to help them in the joint venture partnership. That would require loyalty to Ghana by Ghanaian local partners as in China. Chinese believe in China and Ghanaian entrepreneus must believe in Ghana.
  
  Thirdly, the Ghanaian market is too small for the multinational companies to set up in Ghana. That problem can be overcome by removing all export trade barriers in the ECOWAS and in the entire African continent. That will enable keen competition in all the 55 African Union states. The result would give Africa supremacy in finance, economics, politics, and real power.
  
  But that development would be resisted by US, France, UK, China, Russia, Germany etc. But we need strong African leaders and not stomack politicians to withstand them.
  
  Thus, solution is on the way within our grasp
