I saw a Sony television for GHC12,000, a Timex watch for $135 (I bought the same watch for $37 in the US). In a country where the minimum wage is still less than $1, it is wishful thinking to expect a bigger traffic of buyers other the shop owners see now. The Accra Mall is nothing other than a meeting place for friends and a place to cool of from the unfriendly tropical sunshine. The other reason for the low sales is the unrestricted flow of "Chinese trash" into Ghana. Aren't all these consistent with Economics 101?

Frank Mensah is right with the price of things in the mall. They're too over-priced. The only way they can boast sales is to reduce it.

There is no access to the Mall accept by cars. Customers are struggling to get to the venue so rethink again and construct a new underground to promote an easier access to the site.

or kindly consult makerting professionals. besides, some of shops have sales persons who are not well trained at all. once you enter the shop, their attitude is like, if you like buy or else leave. there are no smiles or sale courtesies.

good governance goes with sensible voting and reasonable checks in the system. If these are in place you will find the Accra Mall in business just as it should be!

What do you expect? The trend for high prices is lower sales. Reduce prices and rapid turnover will bring in the profit. it is common sense.
