Of what use is a political party that doesn’t participate in the democratic process? The childish antics the NPP hierarchy may play well to its die hard voters but it will alienate the floating voters that they will need to mount a credible challenge to NDC next time around.

Unfortunately, each time they carry out these attention grabbing stunts, they de-stabilise the country a little bit more.

I don't know what Akuffo Addo and his cronies hope to achieve with these gimmicks but hopefully Ghanaians are wise to these antics. I for one wish they will just shut up and concentrate on proving their claim of a rigged election in court.

laughable. Just reading your press release, you found it expedient to
sign off as nephew of Victor Owusu.That credential does not make you
more NPP than some of us. The decision to go to court was by the
National Executive of the party so if you believe in democratic
conduct as you claim, you will abide by it.
Some of us find it strange that you of all people are against the use
of the courts to fight for justice. In the mid 1990's when equipment
of Radio Eye were seized, you went to court. Some of us were in the
court near the Accra Community Center where you and Victor Newman were
fighting the cause of freedom to lend our support.
This subtle attempt of yours to remain relevant in the political
terrain will fail because nobody take you seriously. As Shakespear

This morning the SC will decided whether or not the NDC should join Mahama in the law suit against the EC's declaration for JDM.
Which ever way the judgment goes, we have to humbly ask our National Executive Committee and National Council to come out on the participation of our MPs in the vetting of JDM's nominees.
I was one of those who thought they should participate, however Hon. P.C. Appiah-Ofori's submission made me rethink the issue all over again. I am for a total boycott of the vetting, even though I will want them debate the NDC on government business in the House. They should come out then to punch holes in government proposals and policies.
I asked some questions yesterday and I ask again and add some more.
1.If our MPs boycotted the swearing-in, meaning they do not recognise Mahama as president, then why should they accept his ministers by vetting them?
2. If Nana Addo, Bawumia and Jake had attended the swearing-in, would that not have a diverse effect on our case at the SC?
3. If Q.2 is in the affirmative, then it could mean that our MPs sitting on the appointments committee could also have diverse effect on our case.
4. To those who condemned Prez. Kufuor for attending the swearing-in and yet want our MPs to sit on the appointment committee, can't they find some confusion and mischief been created here?
Folks, there are also those who want our MPs to appear and not participate. I will not feel fine if our honourable suddenly make clowns out of themselves. What message will they be carrying, just sitting there wasting everybody's time and causing financial loss to the state. The NDC will have a field day and heap insults on us.
I am appealing to NEC, the NC and our Parliamentary Caucus to come out now and declare a boycott of the whole vetting section.
I believe these ministers can be vetted again when they apear in parliament to answer questions.
For now let us boycott the vetting and surely come August at the latest, God willing, they will also boycott the vetting of our ministers.

From previous elections and the immediate past, there is always a cry of foul play so why don't you all allow the supreme court to decide instead of trying to tarnish the image of the NPP.

Very discerning Ghanaians don't perceive the NPP the way you want us to believe. Remember, at least 49.3% of those who voted did so against the supposed president. They want to know the truth, and I am sure there are some people who voted for the president and yet would like to know what happened. if the ndc really won the elections, don't you think they will be eager to let that come out?

why call the NPP names when they are using the constitutional approach to rid our electoral system of these obvious inconsistencies? Has the NDC ever cried foul of electoral fraud, and I know the answer is yes! Why then do you refuse to acknowledge that we have inherent problems that need addressing today at least for posterity, if not for the current crop of politicians and citizens?

How many years has the NPP been in office since 1979? Only 8 years so you need to know who to blame if there are any problems in our country and our institutions. Hypocrites!!!!

I am happy to know there are NPP supporters who are wise enough to see the BIGGER picture of Ghana ahead than to drag the whole system down. Lest we forget, almost half of the Ghanaian population voted for the NPP. We should rather play an inclusive "game" no matter the bitter pill of defeat.
I beleive strongly that people like you should vacate the so-called "WONDERLAND" and join in Ghana's nation building because we have a long and ardous road ahead of us, despite Ghana playing a pivotal role in Africas true Democracy.
