The NDC would have to explain to Ghanaians how a dead man came to author and sign a letter!
The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”
The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?
The letter then goes on melodramatically, “As you leaf through these pages of my life’s story, I pray to God that it touches your heart in many positive ways. Weep not, I am not dead. I am alive and awake in the Lord. Ghana will not die; Ghana will live to declare the works of the Lord. As I rest in perfect peace in the celestial realms with my maker, I pledge to always uphold and defend the good name of Ghana. Remember the Lord in all your ways and He will protect you. Stay well my brothers and sisters, I will always be with you. Signed (with actual signature) John Evans Atta Mills...

Main opposition NPP stalwart Charles Wereko Brobbey says there must be an overhaul in the leadership of the party.
Dr Wereko Brobbey who has described as illogical, nonsensical and farcical, the party’s decision to boycott the Buem and Aktasi South by-elections says the old generation of the NPP must give way to the younger generation to take over the leadership mantle.
The NPP is currently challenging the 2012 election results at the Supreme Court.
It also intends challenging the results of 38 other constituencies.
The leadership says Buem and Akatsi South are among the results intended to be challenged and so finds its defeatist contesting the two by-elections.
Dr. Wereko Brobbey however argues that the party must as well boycott Parliament entirely and also stay away from the vetting of ministerial nominees per its arguments against participating in the by-election.

I do appreciate that Ghana's constitution guarantees the right to protest and therefore NPP MPs' boycott could be a form of protest. However, since the constitution also allows the President to continue as normal whilst the petition is being heard, would it not be against the constitution for the MPs to boycott the vetting of would be ministers because NPP does not recognise the President? Again, since the MPs have sworn the oath of office to perform their parliamentary duties in accordance with the constitution, is boycotting parliamentary businesses from the Executive not in breach of the constitution? I am just wondering.
From this boycott, it can be inferred that NPP will also boycott the first State of Nation Address by the President next month. Where does this take NPP because their actions are in breach of the constitution because the party does not recognise the President as at now. There is no room for a leadership vacuum in Ghana. By the constitution, there shall be a President at all times and that president is recognised by all without exception. By this action, NPP is making an exception, which to me is unconstitutional.

PNDC/NDC is the party, that have carried out more boycotts than any other political party in the history of Ghana.
In the 2004 elections the NDC challenged the election results at the supreme court. Mills and Rawlings boycotted the inauguration of President Kufuor. Victor smith then announced they wouldn`t even watch it on TV.
Prior to the elections in 2008 Mills warned that the NDC would not entertain any attempt by the NPP to steal the verdict of the people again. He warned the nation to expect mayhem if the party suspects the results of the December polls were rigged in favour of the NPP. He threatened to turn Ghana into Kenya if elections were rigged in favour of the NPP.
Your NDC even boycotted the state of the nation address by President Kufuor in 2007. Needless to mention the numerous times when they boycotted parliament as well.
I dont see, what is wrong with NPP following the legal means to address their grievances. I dont see, why NDC is talking nonesense like the NPP is disgracing the President. If they know they have legitimacy of the people, why should this process lead to a disgrace? It should rather enhance the image of President Mahama, when it comes out that he won on his own merit. Instead of talking substance to the issue, they are coming up with wild and baseless accusations. If its a disgrace to the President, then its an admission, that the integrity of our election is questionable and if anything should come out, that the Preisdent and EC stole the election, then it would be a disgrace to the President.

I am truly loving what the NPP is doing to itself; cutting its nose to spite its face with their anti-Ghana agenda.
I hope they also boycott all matters arising out of Parliament; they must all go home until the case is disposed of by the Supreme Court. This will make passage of bills emanating from the executive very easy, as there will be no nay-sayers to ruffle feathers.
In the meantime, the government must withhold all their salaries and allowances until this litigation is resolved.
I am loving this, NPP.

IF YOU TAKE IT TO THE LOGICAL CONCLUSION THEY SHOULD ALL VACATE THEIR SEATS AS THEY NO LONGER RECOGNISE ANYTHING THE EC HAS DONE. THEY SHOULD NOT ACCEPT COMMON FUND MONEY FOR THEIR CONSTITUENCIES AND NOT TAKE SALARIES. THEY MEMBERSHIP OF PARLIAMENT BY EXTENSION IS ILLEGAL BECAUSE THEY WERE ELECTED BY A PROCESS THEY BELIEVE TO BE VERY CORRUPT, UNLESS IT WAS ONLY O.K IN THEIR CONSTITUENCIES. NPP should stop this infantile politics. Yes, its true that you are challenging the results of the presidential elections. That does not mean that the affairs of state should come to a halt. Taking part in the vetting of new ministers or parliamentary procedures does not give legitimacy to Mahama's presidency until the substantive case is adjudicated by the Supreme Court. As an NPP sympathiser, I find the behaviour of the current crop of leadership juvinile. Continue with the legal proceedings and also participate in the democratic dispensation. You will have yourself to blame if the NDC uses state machinery in your absence to force through measures that will be inimical to the development of our dear nation, Think again Jake and co.

Ghana is waiting to see and hear the pieces of evidence from the NPP to settle the suspense they are holding Ghanaians.
Should these pieces of evidence emerge and they happen to be no show, I bet them that Ghanains will not forgive them and they will be punished very severely in 2016. I can assure them.
NPP should know that many of us attended the schools they attended and that they are by no measure intelligent than some of us.
If their intention is to present to the court figures and positions which do not conform with the general records and positions in the possessions of others including the EC, Ghanaians will not tolerate this. If for the sake of argument, they have collated some outrageous figures and positions to represent the results in the elections, they should be told that they are deceiving themselve.
We know and understand these games and we shall stand in their way to perpetuate any fraud on the people of Ghana.
If these people have any conscience at all, they will observe that the whole country is ridiculing them aside their staunch followers who are expected to do just what they are doing.
The floating voters who take reasonable positions on voting matters have shun them. The devil is leading them so they will be blinded to the obvious.
For me, I see a big disgrace for this group of shameless individuals being led by Nana addo.

CPPs are a bunch of hypocrites! It were people from within the party, who overthrew Nkrumah. When Nkrumah took all the key positions, leading members of the CPP got annoyed. Therefore they teamed up with some of the UP to overthrow Nkrumah. Actually, most of my family members were born or influenced into the CPP (at least the older generation), but when something is wrong, I will not say its right. Finally, the death of the imprisoned Nana Kwame Kyeretwie (Dr. J.B. Danquah) almost turned the whole country against Nkrumah.
During the colonial days, Krobo Edusei (a very influential member and interior minister during the CPP administration) rented a room at one of our family houses in Kumasi. He was able to influence most of our family members into the CPP.
My late father, a trained engineer and member of the Institute of Engineers and Technicians in London, became the first secretary of Krobo Edusei (Propaganda secretary), he personally campaigned for him in "Sekyere-East". Once, even the colonial police searched our house to arrest Krobo Edusei. During these days, Nkrumah and other founding members of the CPP almost met daily at our family house. So this place more or less became their headquarters.
Nkrumah and his people became millionaires over night. Krobo Edusei was a poor drug seller, before his party came to power. The CPP was not all that strong in the country as a whole. The government had little authority, in particular in Asante. Nkrumah was a coward, who always used others to achieve his goals as soon as they were of no more use, he turned against them.
By the end of the second World War, Ghana was more advanced economically and socially than most other African countries. By 1945 Ghana had the best road system, a railway and a deep water harbour and had one of the hightest per capita incomes of all the countries on the continent. Ghana then had a sizable educated elite and a rising middle class of teachers, contractors and private businessmen. By the end of 1964 Ghana was completely bankrupt. The national foreign debt grew from 64 million dollars in 1957 to 524 million in 1959 and to 770 million in 1964. Moreover, while Nkrumah urged the ordinary people to tighten their belts, he and his ministers led a life of luxury, rode in huge cars and erected buildings in the main towns from funds received from corrupt deals and bribes.By the time of the coup his wealth had increased to a total of £2,322,000, whereas his lawful earnings from 1951 to 1966 amounted to only £134,000.While he continued to place funds in foreign banks from 1962, he made the holding of foreign accounts abroad illegal. He vigorously opposed all the regional groupings, saying they would be "just another form of balkanisation".He constantly quarreled with other African heads of state, the vast majority of who opposed his dream of his "United states of Africa" and feared Nkrumahs desire to become president of Africa.
He introduced the Preventive Dentention Act, which enabled him to arrest any person without a trial (any person that was suspected of opposing his government). He turned the whole country into one concentration camp of fear, insecurity and uncertainty. He even dismissed the Chief justice and other judges, who did not rule in his favour. He turned Ghana into a one party state and made himself president for life. He seized and occupied all the key positions within his party, therefore his own people teamed up with some members of UP to overthrow him (not the NPP with cooperation of the CIA, as the propaganda of nowadays wants us to believe).
Nkruamhs megalmonia and power-drunkness were the main cause for his downfall. He showered upon himself ridiculous titles such as "Showboy", "His essianic Dedication", "Osagyefo","Fount of Honour", etc. His megalmonia made him see himself as the man destined by God to become the first president of a united Africa. It also drove him to excessive use of the Preventive Detention Act and the use of spies on his own people. When the railway workers went on strike in 1961, Nkrumah ordered strike leaders and opposition politicians arrested under the Trade Union Act of 1958.While Nkrumah had organized strikes just a few years before, he now opposed industrial democracy because it conflicted with rapid industrial development.
The death in the confined cell of the higly respected Dr. Danquah in February 1965 turned more Ghanaians against Nkrumah than any other single episode. All classes of Ghanas population turned against Nkrumah. It was J.B. Danquah, who actually gave Ghana its name, presumbly personal research had done into finding out about the link between ancient Ghana Kingdom and the Akan. Unfortunately he fell out with Nkrumah and ended up dying in prison. This man should be one of the great names mentioned among Africans. In my opionion, Danquah made a great attempt to enlighten his fellow Ghanaians. His book "the Akan doctrine of God" was the first book dealing with ancient Akan history. He also wrote some other books in the Akan language to help children and young adults identify with and learn to read their own language.
It also must be noted, that it were mainly wealthy families from Asante, who enabled Nkrumah to finance his nationwide boykotts.
If Nkrumah was still alive, he would behave like Gaddafi and their likes. In fact, Robert Mugabe (married to a Ghanaian) and many others were all trained by Nkrumah in Ghana. They received huge financial and even millitary support.
If people really believe Nkrumah was such a hero, then they should name the entire country after him. Why are you using the name "Ghana", a name that was based on the historical research of the late Dr. J.B. Danquah?
If Nkrumah was still alive, Ghanaians would be bitterly crying, as everyone did when he was at the peak of his power drunkness. Nkrumah was one of the worst dictators on the continent.
