  WHAT DO Y0U EXPECT WHEN IT COSTS SO MUCH TO CLEAR GOODS,PAY EDIF, GCNET, GCTWAT, A LOT OF FEES. PEOPLE DON'T FEEL GUILTY IF THEY BEAT THE SYSTEM WITH FAKE DOCS.

  To my idea the duties we are paying in
  the country is too much,which is bringing this embarassment into the port.
  There is no Country which is paying too
  much import dutis and taxes as ghana.

  The Goverment of Ghana have to see to it that such taxes are reduced to enable the importes clear their goods in simple way in order not to let people deceive them by taken money
  from them, it will help more people import quility goods into Ghana:
  I hope that the new president pay attention to that.

  Most people think the way to life is always go past the laws. These problems are not easy ,but the authorities, institutions and the government need to work hard to close the loop-holes in the system. What I've always seen in our societies is bad behavior and culture of corruption ,everybody want to live high or lavish lives t without working hard. The government needs to come out with huge penalties to those who think they can go away freely with everything at the expense of government.

  Thanks Ms Owu for telling us a lot about your duties at your Office. But I have one question, is it not possible for our belove Country Ghana to reduce the Import Duties most especially Trucks and Kippers who are met to improve the productivity of our only country (GDP)?. Only Custom Officers are enjoying in the country. Please let the New Govt. know the problems Ghanaians abroad are facing. You will buy a Truck to come and help you country but at the long run the Duties will take all the rest of your money. What a Country is that??.
