Please let's not play antics with the realities in the bible which is a sophisticated book and in no accounts can human intelligence can interpretate it clearly without the support of the most high God. Daniel I want you to give me an account of the miracle of God separating the red sea for the Israelites to cross over, is it a reality or a myth?   Unfortunately, this writer is an apology to himself and the faith he so espouse. How can he so refer us to books beyond the inspired word of God; that is the Bible. Whoever, told him that the freewill and the mental acumen of man is absolute and competes with the sovereignty of God, is a liar. Unfortunately, this theology never holds its place. Daniel's wisdom was God-given. Daniel's prophecy transcends history and the present civilization is indeed the the product of that prophecy. He prophesized that one powerful man which turned out to be Alexander the great will emerge but his reign will be made short in the West. It came to pass. He further intimated that four kingdoms will emerge and did emerge from the four commanders of the Alexander the great. They later emerge in two and later only one will survive and this became the Roman Empire that conquered all empires. God is the giver of life, the hope, the moral giver and the only one who makes our lives meaningful: in effect, the grand weaver!!! Samuel, you must submit your life to the almighty God who gives life and acknowledge that the "freewill" so espoused by philosophers and especially by existentialist is moot. God is not moot and the very essence of logic and syllogism even refute existentialist arguments that there is no God, whom you also through this article seem to convey. I will leave you with the words of Voltaire who said that the Bible will not survive the next century. Unfortunately, his present home is used by the Bible Society. That is the Lord God that we serve. The bible you so seem to disprove have stood the test of time. They only verifiable book; the inspired word of God, through which historians, archeologists, and even the so called philosphers have eventually, converted and understood the truth. The truth is absolute: God reigns and nothing man does can ever subvert the will of God.

  Why was the zoo keeper unable to be free with the lions as Mr Sarfo has indicated Daniel did without any help from God? Before he answers this question, he must know that circus lions are captured and trained when the were little kittens and not old ones like the ones Daniel had to face.
  
  If as Sarfo stated Daniel just concocted a story to bamboozle the king, why then did his interpretation came to pass? Or maybe Mr Sarfo wants us to believe that Daniel went and conived with those other kings to come and wage war to fulfill his interpretation.
  
  Mr. Sarfo, the Bible is rife with people who doubted God to their peril. When God does a miracle and you a human labels it not true, you are calling God a liar and God will deal with you in a manner that will shock you.
  
  If I were you, I will get down on my knees and ask for forgiveness imediately before God's anger destroys me.
  
  Whether you acknowledge God or not, He lives and He alone created the universe and ALL that are in it. I will advise you to join a Bible-believing church and get born again befor the anger of God destroys you. Don't forget the proverb at the beggining of my reply.

Concerning the image that the King saw in his dreams and the interpretations given by Daniel, if you have time just read the kingdoms and empires that followed the Babylonian empire and your theory will be blown right out the water. Then try to explain how the interpretations came to pass as prophesied by Daniel.
