Fellow Ghanaians, let us analyze the performance of the two main political parties in this country. NDC’s philosophy is “dzie wo fie asem”. In opposition they allowed the Kufuor regime to mind its own business. As a result the NPP looted the Ghana government for eight good years. The fat cats looted the economy from cash (Kwadwo Mpiani), bungalow (Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey), cooking pots (Sekyi-Hughes) etc…..70% of the richest people in Ghana are NPP apparachicks. In the case of NPP, they believe they know better than anybody else and they are the only people who have the divine right to rule Ghana thus they oppose everything NDC does if it is not from the NPP, whether good or bad, from, Chinese loans, judgment debts, appointments and even the vetting of new ministers. This enabled the NDC to always be on their toes in whatever they do. From this observation, you can all agree with me that the NPP are better in opposition than NDC. Fellow Ghanaians, let us ensure that NPP remains in opposition for thirty years.

If Atta Mills had won the 2000 elections (instead of President Kufour) Ghana would never have found the oil. Tsatsu's GNPC would still have been spending our millions on cocoa farms & salt mining or simply chopping the money.

NPP can resort to one of the several ways to fight their case--provided they are legal. NPP can pick and choose to make their point. Dr Nkrumah chose boycotts to press home the independence idea in 1950's instead of other ways.
NDC MPS staged 2-week parliamentary boycotts to oppose Abodakpis imprisonment. Did they shortchange Ghana then??.

It would be unlawful and undemocratic for NPP MPs who have boycott the nation's activities by disrespecting electorates who voted them to office to ask for salaries and allowances. If it's the party's principles to force its MPs to stay away from the Nation's businesses until the Supreme Court has reached it's verdict, then it's also principles for its MPs to refuse salaries and allowances until a verdict has been reached. I believe the leadership of NPP should be wise and not selfish to jeopardise the future of the party.

Parlianment is always below half full, at least when viewed on television so what has NPP done wrong. If the parliamentarians are paid per day(by day) and at realistic leveles such as teachers ,doctors and other civil servants are paid , it will attract more committed people. The reality is that it is now the most lucrative job in town for majority of people who would not have passed an interview for a supervisory job at any proper multinational company operating in the country. We have still got a lot wrong and will continue to live with it till we get the right leadership(not NDC, NPP but maybe a benevolent dictator!!) All the bad traits of democracy seem to show up here !!! maybe we are not ripe for the process!!
