  GHC 243.00 (or $121.50) a month?
  Considering the expenses Mr. Wondoh has listed, this amount is certainly not commensurate with the sacrifices of National Service Personnel.
  Or are they with the National Suffering Scheme?

  I think the criteria that was used to increase salaries of members of parliament should be used to increase the allowances of natinal service personnel and pensioners

  Just scrap the National Service Scheme because instead of instilling in the youth patriotism it has rather tend to produce people who habour various grievances against the state.

  You have said it all my brother, if you are posted to a town labbled oil city you can only imagine what service personnel are going through. Low service allowance has caused most personnel to loose concentration and are trying to engage in other stuff to help cushion them. We know our leaders are well listening people therefore we hope something will be done able it immediately

  May the good lord bless our homeland Ghana for peace and understanding.I strongly agree with my brother John's Article concerning the rational for national service allowance increment.To be frank and sincere,the national service allowance given to its personnel is insignificant and can not even take care of their transportation left alone their feeding and other basic needs. Parents also perceive their wards at this stage to be matured and can therefore take care of themselves irrespective of their income, they are sometimes right because they have to concentrate on the others to also make it to that level. We therefore appeal to our father His excellency President John Mahama and his government to critically look at this issue and effect immediate change for the betterment of their nation Ghana.
