G LARTEY WAS A WAR TACTICIAN AND NOT AN INTELLIGENCE OFFICER WHO HAS ACTUALLY GOT SKILLS TO COMBAT CRIME. NATIONAL SECURITY COORDINATOR APPOINTMENT DUE TO THE HIGH RATE OF CRIME AND OTHER MALFEASANCE SHOULD BE DRAWN FROM THE INTELLIGENCE SERVICES OR FROM THE POLICE CID OUTFIT. DEFENCE OR MILITARY INTELLIGENCE HAS SO MANY OF THEM. SOME HAVE RESIGNED BUT COULD BE BROUGHT BACK FOR THE APPOINTMENT. SOME ARE ATTACHED TO OTHER UNITS ALSO. VERY EFFECTIVE AND INFLUENTIAL.
