Typical NDC propaganda! NDC claimed Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo was arrested at the airport in New York. And then because he was a foreign affairs minister the american law left him off the hook. There is no one above the law in a country like the USA. Saying a minister is arrested with drugs on him and he is allowed to go? Who are they fooling? A letter even came from the airport (security team), that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has never been arrested. Do you know, what the NDC responded? A letter should have come from the DEA. Why? Because their object is not about truth, but throwing mud at a person. It is only in this country, that one can come up with any baseless accusations to damage the reputation of a person he or she hates. This country is moved purely by deception and not reality. People dont research to find out the facts, whatever they hear they believe it.

According to the American Ambassador, Nana Akufo Addo is a notorious womaniser and an profuse marijuana smoker.

This statement has been substantiated by the following:
1) Dr Aning of the Kofi Anang Peacekeeping centre says nana's drug use is now under control and that if the Americans wanted further details they could contact the German Embassy;
2) Kwesi Pratt who worked closely with nana in the 1980s/90s in the agitations against the PNDC, and they traveled widely across the country together and stayed in hotels and guest houses together, revealed that Nana not only smokes marijuana but really smokes it a lot. And that Nana wakes up with a thick cloud of marijuana smoke around him and you can really see that he is high;
3) Gabby otchere Darko, his nephew said Nana used to smoke in his youth, but it is now under control;
4) Nana himself ever boasted that if people want to know how manly he is they should contact the women. This means he does not sleep only with his wife!!!

The US Ambassador's statement is therefore 100% right.

During the Rawlings rule, the drugs trade flourished, and if you evaluate The Chronicle in the 1990s you find so many stories on drugs and corruption in high places. Yet, they used kid gloves in tackling the drug barons.

Mettle Nunoo to defend the accused drug barons in the cocaine case before the Circuit Tribunal.And this is the person the NDC had deemed fit to appoint Deputy Minister of Health.It must be noted that the latter part of the NDC rule was characterized by the US State Department Reports designating Ghana as a transit point for drugs. Why do people assume Asanteman is restricted to only Asante region? Its far bigger than that and restricts regional boundaries. Why do people assume the whole Volta region is an Ewe region? In fact, Ewes are in the minority in that area (at least in northern part of Volta region). These are mostly Akan areas (including Asante areas) such as Worawora. The people of Worawora are direct Asante-Oyoko royals of the same clan like the Asantehene. How do you think names like Nsuta, Oseikrom etc. in Jasikan came about? In truth even Ewe places like Nkonya, Awusuta and so on are for Asante, but we dont claim them anymore. We are not like Ewe chiefs, who tried to force Woraworahene to break away from Asanteman.
