First of all, it is utterly naïve, and stupid for Mahama to attend a program without first doing his homework. Do you think any serious politician in the West will go sit on the same platform with someone who they deem controversial, have opposing views (criminal as Mahama says of homosexuality), and go to the extent of getting $20K from that same “criminal”? Wasn’t it suspicious when out of the blue a panelist or someone who attended the program offers such an amount for a copy of a book? What has Mahama since done with the money knowing now that the donor is a gay activist?
Has the money been returned? Of course not, we rather see him trending to placing either a homosexual in high positions, such as the VP position, and picking Oye who he knows has a favorable opinion of homosexuality. Basically, I think he is doing the bidden of Solomon because of the ”payment” to promote the same sex agenda.
Don’t get me wrong, I do agree with Oye that homosexual should have rights and be protected, so I don’t have a problem with Mahama’s direction or agenda but I find it hypocritical and dishonest when Mahama pretends or lies about his position or asks his surrogates to lie for him.

One must ask; what message is the President trying to impart to Ghanaians by that nomination?

The sad irony is that Ghana has not got the facilities to treat HIV sufferers. Our revenue from the newly found oil can better be used on something else than spending it on HIV sufferers. Our half-baked President, no doubt, knows that HIV is prevalent in societies where gay is openly practised yet, he has employed a pro-gay to head our children and dual sex ministry.

It is politically suicidal for Mr. Mahama to do what he has done. To flout a country's norm and natural tendency is to invite social upheaval. And this is exactly what the President has done.
