Believe me, that Mahama knows the nation is waiting on him to come out and define his Government's position on the Gay Rights issue. But, like any backward leader of an African nation, he is hiding somewhere, and will not come out and say anything.
Meanwhile, millions of Ghanaians are wasting our time, focusing on an issue like the Gay issue that has nothing to do with how our people are going to get good, clean water to drink.

There is no law in Ghana which criminalises homosexuality and it is stretching it to interpret that jaded law on unnatural carnal knowledge, which, itself, must be expunged from the statute books, as such.

We CANNOT pass a law in Ghana to criminalise homosexuality just because some religious hypocrites and loads of ignoramuses say so.

Just google for "eunuchs in Africa" and read what is there. Africa has the longest history of supplying eunuchs, castrated men, who were used extensively in Europe to as far as India for various purposes, including gay partners. Eunuchs were also used in The Vatican male only choir until the C19th, and not only the walls of the Vatican and the heavens know what else, as we all now know that Catholic bishops and fathers, after all, do have sex with even underage boys and girls! Yes, even some Popes had children!

Homosexuality as we all know was practised in our country since time immemorial only this was done secretly. And lesbianism? Just go to our secondary or senior high boarding schools and you will see that the girls practise lesbianism and some of them continue doing it after school.
I don't believe we imported these attitudes from Europe or America. Whether we accept them or not criminalising homosexuals and lesbians will be infringing on their human rights.

5 years ago I was walking my two boys (16 and 14) to a bus stop; on the way to their cousins’ birthday party in Croydon (London) and as a father I thought , hey ,it would be safer for me to walk them to the stop, you see, we live in Brixton!
My in-built African culture, IN WHICH I AM VERY PROUD OF, prompt me to put my arms around my 16 year-old shoulder and held the hands of the 14year old as we walk down the street. A few metres to the bus stop I heard “faggots” you can’t do your shit here! ... now I’ve been living in Brixton for 25 years and I know when not to turn round and when to run, not this time, because I thought it wasn’t our problem. Then I heard it again, this time the voice was nearer and louder, so I turned to look at what is going on ,then I realised it was DIRECTED AT US!...This guy was coming after us aggressively, so I grabbed my sons umbrella and whacked him very hard, just at the edge of his nose bridge. It was the best move I have ever made because I didn’t even realise he was armed until his knife dropped.
To cut a long story short,
I was 44yrs then and I keep wondering what would have happened if we didn’t have an umbrella to strike first. My family would have written; A DARLING HUSBAND AND A LOVING CARING FATHER and this guy would be bragging to his friends how he killed a faggot, puff, arse fucker...etc

I commented yesterday and asked the question if Mahama Ayariga is now the president's spokesman. I believe the communications minister is confusing his function to the state, with a personal role as presidential spokesman and someone has got to to bring him to order. I never heard the president express his views on homosexuality anywhere. It was the communications minister who purported to be carrying the president's views and this is utterly wrong.

Any how, it is this same president, knowing Oye Lithur's stance on humans risghts issues (not support for gays, but the rights of all including gays) who put her forward for the position in the first place. I think issues are being confused here and Ndebugre should not be attacking the president but rather challenging the minister, Ayariga, one of the "children with sharp teeth" who has made it his business to "speak for the president". This is a bad beginning and the president will do well to have a quiet word with him and admonish him on these matters.

S.104 of the criminal and other offences Act deals with the situations mentioned above but, needs to be amended to cover lesbians. It is right to say that homosexuality is a crime in Ghana save that the law is not comprehensive enough to deal effectively with lesbianism.

Our naturally cultural and religious believes that over rules any technicalities of canal made laws make it clear that homosexualism, lesbianism or any form of same sex is against our very existence as human being and country.

The country continues to serve as the economic and military power on the continent.About 90% of all Nobel Prize Winners(in Africa) - in chemistry,literature,medicine (in addition to patents),come from this country alone.Their enlightenment has allowed ALL PEOPLE,regardless of their sexual orientation,ethnicity or religious faith - to contribute( unfettered by backward laws )to the development of the country.

What does John mean by "females don't have penis. They cannot penetrate." Yes, females don't have penis, but they do penetrate - BUT NOT WITH "NATURAL" PENIS. Penetration is penetration; and YES some females penetrate their partners (fellow females with their (1) FINGERS, (2) TONGUE and (3) OBJECTS (locally-made and/or imported) IN THE SEMBLANCE OF PENIS.

If John said "WOMEN DO NOT EJACULATE" I would have understood and accepted his point, but certainly not "The act of lesbianism can only be criminal if they can penetrate but “females don’t have penis. They cannot penetrate,” he retorted."

Oh dear, THERE ARE TOO MANY LOOPHOLES and/or GRAY AREAS in our laws. Aside the loopholes and the gray areas, SOME OF OUR LAWYERS TOO HELP INTERPRET THE LAW WRONGLY AND HELP ADD TO THE CONFUSION IN THE SYSTEM.

How can you seriously make such an argument? Don't you see the difference between an act of 2 consenting(!!) adults(!!) and the rape of a child? Are you out of your mind?
