It is true ECG like many of the public sector companies has not been doing well, however, the planners of the nation dont know where the priorities of the country lies.
Power is the sector which will transform this nation. Human Resource is the foremost focus without any doubt. But we cannot reap any measurable benefit from the current educational system. This current system does not allow for innovation and creativity.
Power can help generate the jobs we desire to provide our people.
We as a country are not thinking outside the box.

The only cow in a small town in Ghana stopped giving milk. The people did some research and found that they could buy a cow from Ashanti Region for 2,000 Cedis or one from Kyebi Eastern Region for 1,000 Cedis. Being frugal, they bought the cow from Kyebi Eastern Region.
The cow was wonderful. It produced lots of milk all the time,and the people were amazed and very happy.
They decided to acquire a bull to mate with the cow and produce more cows like it. Then they would never have to worry about the milk supply again.
They bought a bull and put it in the pasture with their beloved cow. However, whenever the bull came close to the cow, the cow would move away. No matter what approach the bull tried, the cow would move away from the bull and he could not succeed in his quest.
The people were very upset and decided to ask the Priest, who was very wise, what to do. They told the Priest what was happening; "Whenever the bull approaches our cow, she moves away. If he approaches from the back, she moves forward. When he approaches her from the front, she backs off. An approach from the side and she just walks away to the other side. The Priest thought about this for a minute and asked,
"Did you buy this cow from Kyebi Eastern Region?"
The people were dumbfounded. They had never mentioned where they had gotten the cow. "You are truly a wise Priest. How did you know we got the cow from Kyebi Eastern Region?
"The Priest answered sadly, "My wife is from Kyebi Eastern Region."

Instead of buying new transformers to improve the quality of service the money will be used to buy new ones to replace the destroyed ones. Your uncultured behaviour will not help anybody. If you have a system that is overstretched and mono directional the results is what we are seeing. Pretend to solve ECGs problems and ECG will pretend providing reliable service.

They did the same to me some years ago, but the most annoying and frustration is after 24 HOURS, the poles are no more yours according to ECG laws. and therefore it belongs to them/GOV and with no compensation.
