My dear brother, Mr. Akwasi Appiah, I'm sending these pieces of advice not as one who knows all, but as an ardent Ghanaian follower and lover of the Black Stars. Please just consider them in your plans.
(1)Our team needs to be tactical and extremely cautious.
(2). Please, let players be very, very cautious against CARDS(Yellow/Red). The referees are getting more powerful and merciless as the tournament progresses.
(3). Concerning the poor pitch, our Team should endeavour to play in the Burkina half in the first half as the they begin to adapt to the Stadium. Errors are better done in their (B.F.) half of the field than in our half.
(4) I suggest you put Two defenders on permanent stand-by against Counter -Attacks. Note: The Burkinabes have very fast runners who do counters.
(5) Don't we need a natural "Leftee" for the Left full back? Please look well into this. Many times Aful had tough times. If he is the best then he needs to do something extra-ordinary to block onslaughts without committing fouls.
(6) We need EXCELLENCE from all players. Not just Dauda and Wakasu. All the players selected should be given this Challenge / opportunities to do the extra-ordinary in the next two matches that will bring VICTORIES - making wise decisions in team spirit, assisting one another in tip-tap, then occasional solos when all passing avenues are blocked. We need at least 50% of the fielded players getting Accolades. Defenders avoiding fouls yet preventing Opponents having their way, Our Attackers SCORING Goals with ease, randomly, Midfielders holding at times and other times making quick goal bound releases directly or indirectly (through the attackers).
(7) The team should think and make sure each player rests enough and preserve stamina for the matches ahead.
(8) We need to make B.Faso useless, then make also whoever comes on Sunday much more Useless.
(9) I wish everyone of you - Playing Team, Technical Team, Administrative Team, Domestic Team, Media Team, Medical Team, Advisory Team, Security Team et al in South Africa all the BEST. EACH DEPARTMENT SHOULD DO ITS BEST. GOD BLESS OUR HOMELAND GHANA, GOD BLESS ALL GHANAIANS.
