Instead of helping you, they take delight in bringing you down. They make life more unbearable with the power shortages cum the dum so.Who in his rightful mind will ever surceed in this horrible enviroment?

  I hope that the government would listen and act. We have a bunch of politicians running around calling themselves honourables, who either don't know anything or just only care for themselves.
  I wonder what's wrong with us. Every developed country on this planet, protects and even subsidizes its domestic industries. The US subsidizes even oil companies, and have laws that protect certain industries. US, Canada, Europe, Japan and other the developed countries subsidize their farmers, and protect their markets.
  
  Our politicians raise their shoulders and go about lording over the people but when they go out to negotiate with folks outsider Ghana, they get bullied into signing agreements that are inimical to the country's interest.
  
  Find out about the SAP conditionalities that the IMF/World Bank foisted on Ghana. Trade liberalization and privatization of SOEs were the main elements of the agreement. What was the result? Massive layoff of workers- what they called retrenchment. The sale of State Owned Ents, and natural resources giveaway. Through trade liberalization, our market has become a dumping ground everything, including toothpicks.
  
  The NPP gov't went and signed the EU-ACP EPA. I understand this agreement hasn't been ratified yet. Something must be done to prevent the EPA if it hasn't been ratified.
  
  Can anyone tell me why Ghana governments NPP and NDC gov'ts bypassed our textile companies and went to China to order clothes for national anniversaries? Why do our gov'ts bypassed Ghanaian Estate developers for S. Koreans, Indians and Chinese?
  
  Another issue that Ghanaians don't seem to know or care about, is the land grab that's going on in the country and Africa as a whole.
  
  Foreigners are buying our lands ostensibly for agric development.
  
  Wake up people. Read your history and that of our African countries' land troubles.
  I hope that AFAG as a body will look into the SADA and other Agrobusiness projects in Ghana, and get Ghanaian civil society serious involved in scrutinizing the land grab and prevent a repeat of history. We're witnessing neo-colonization, people!
  
  When, at all would the country get patriotic and visionary leaders to lead the country? Oh Ghana.
  Wake up Ghanaians everywhere. Wake up!!
