He overcame obstacles folks like you even in his school days wanted to place in his way sometimes physical and most of the time emotional, talking the students that were blind down, yet he is here and still you folks try to put him down.

Most of the guys that tried this while we were in school ended up nowhere, he will overcome this obstacle too and will become the minister. Chiefs that do not like the idea, Akan or not can go somewhere, Ghana is changing!

If you think you are the wise ones of Ghana make inventions so that we can go to the moon and do other advancement technologies and stop that superstition. It is okay to behead but not to deal with a blind person. I hope one of you or your children becomes blind (may God forbid) and see what you will do.

My fellow "pepes, hausas, northerners, nkramos, nta nis, pan carriers, mallams, kayayes zangolese and whatever they choose to call us, the ball is in our court now, it is up to us now to decide what kind of preparation we should make and await the year 2016 to make Mr. John Mahama the Obama of Ghana politics. I do not blame the NPP but some of the the above mentioned citizens who are supporting or propelling it. I hope our people are reading of these comments to help them smell the danger of voting for the NPP come 2016.

Thank you so much NDC Atlanta, USA. We will never allow our traditional rulers to exceed their limit. The government is the supreme entity or body in the country and it has the right to nominate any Ghanaian citizen with capabilities and the ablity to serve the country. A lot of senseless behaviors like the beheading of children and murdering counterparts in the name sacrifices or when in disagreement have happened in our country in past, and none of these traditional chiefs came out to condemn it (they are still silent about that) because they deemed it right or proper as per their tradition. Losing our children is proper, but interacting with a visually impaired person (because he is not one of them) is a taboo (what a tradition). I almost lost my son about sixteen years ago as a result of one of these barbaric customs or whatever one chooses to call it. Traditional chiefs should be made to comprehend matters in a proper manner that will help in building the nation rather their own selfish goals. Lestly, I am reminding you that without us, you as our chiefs will not be chiefs. That is why I always believe the traditional titles should not be confined (be democraticized) to only a particular family or families. By this, I mean any ethically qualified Ashanti be traditionally permitted to vie for the throne as an "Asantehene", likewise with any Dogbani (Na-baa), a Ga (Ga Mantse), a hausa a (Sarki), an ewe a (torbge) and so on and so forth. This way, they will know that the titles belong to all and sundry of their people in general and not just a particular or specific family or families. Mr. President, I suggest you scrutinize these traditional chiefs when they are travelling outside the country to see what they carry out, and in when they are returning just to exercise the powers vested in you, then they will learn to know how and when to come out and utter stuff of this sort. They always feel they are untouchable simplly because they do not smell changes by terms of office. I know my call sounds like I am out out of my mind to some people, but that is what it is (the problems with our chiefs).

Also, the disability of the minister, i believe, would not imper his performance, otherwise he would not have been confirmed by the Appointment Committee.It begs the question then how those chiefs - I mean,those advocating the removal of the minister - deal with their disabled subjects. Do they discriminate against them? Those chiefs should also understand that they have overstepped the limit of influence accorded them by the great 1992 Republican Constitution of Ghana. They should concentrate on the development of their areas, which I suppose their subjects would agree with and applaud, and leave political appointment issues to the executive and legislative branches of the government. I rest.

The answer to this question is that, a chief, especially in the Akan tradition, is the bridge between the ancestors, gods and the subjects.

The fetish priests and priestesses communicate the wishes and warnings from these unseen hands to the chiefs, and these chiefs stand on behalf of the subjects to avert any such future fore-warned calamities, through any means, such as, pouring of libations and slaughtering of birds and animals.

A born again christian cannot be a chief because in the ten commandments, God said;

"Thou shall not worship any other God beside me, for I AM A JEALOUS GOD."

The Bottom line is that these chiefs believe in superstitions and as such, the chieftancy institutions is a peculiar institution. We DO NOT PLAY POLITICS THERE.

Respect them and respect what they advise you.

If they are saying that they do not want the choice, Take it not as an affront but as a humble advice.

If I were President Mahamah, I will just come out and say:

Nananom, I am one of your subjects. I was an ordinary citizen, but by God's Grace ,I am what I am today. If you are saying that certain things are against your norms, with due respect, I will consider it. Period!

Leadership is not bossy.

Leadership is not dictatorship.
Leadership is not infallibility.

But

Leadership is diplomacy.
Leadership is intelligent humility and at times, you behave as if you are stooping low, for others to hold your hand up and raise you.

Leadership is not 'I AM WHAT I AM'.

Only God the Almighty can say that.

Please Live and lets live.
