there is only one solution to all our problems. it is just "RESPECT THE RULES OF THE GAME". that is all. let us all respect our laws, rules, and regulations that govern our interactions.

The Doctors are no fools to just get up one fine morning and say GIVE US THIS OR WE GO ON STRIKE. It hurts when Doctors go on strike because lives lost and maimed cannot be repaired.It is also equally sad to see our politicians feeding themselves full when other workers who work more wallow in abject poverty. If Mahama doesn't handle this issue well, tell him he shall be in deep something. Remember that what is good for the goose is good for the gander. God grants Mahama enough wisdom to see if the fools, even from his own party are fooling him.

The difference between the lower and the top end is forever on the increase in the salary structures; this will never bring peace to the people, however, it will create friction between the extremities.
Our politicians must end the GREEDINESS; it's shame they've allowed money to unite their presence in the Parliament..

Do you remember how many times these doctors have pleaded with the NDC for help? Chileh Yieleh was fired for being sympathetic to the doctor's course. After being forced by the NDC to fire Frimpong Boateng from Korle Bu, he refused to suspend the doctors as suggested by the NDC during their major strike last year and went hidden in his village in the North pretending to be sick. He was later replaced with Bagbin but Bagbin is more stupid than Yieleh with his bugabuga rules.

NDC is a curse on Ghana. No sensible poor government will issue direct threat to doctors on their paychecks while increasing their own paychecks in every quarter. Ghanaians have brought their own curse on themselves denying a very sophisticated man the Presidency by going along with theft and incompetency. Ghana will keep driving in reverse gear till we stop being artificial and get to reality. Propaganda and loudmouth backed by hatred and jealousy on Akans will get us nowhere.

The word by itself is not derogatory but the context in which it is used makes it so. If the clergy had done a similar thing during the time of Kuffour, would you have said ASANTENI PRESIDENT? the issue of the Doctors demands, let me ask if the clergy spoke against the abnormal salary increases and rent allowances that were given to MPs? Why now? when Mahama cowardly condoned and connived with the MPs to increase each other's salaries, every sane person condemned it because of the ripple effects such decisions affect the economy and the democracy that we have. Such complains were to no avail. I wrote against it too but nothing came out of it. If Mahama yielded to the MPs, then he must do so to the Doctors. If he yield to the Doctors, he should be ready for the nurses, teachers etc. Even the chiefs will be asking for increases in their allowances. Mahama is in deep shit.
Our clergy and Islamic leaders should not always sit down for THE SHRUBS TO BECOME FORESTS before they come in. What they are doing now is WINDOW DRESSING. Real pressure would come to bear on the government until it realizes that the deal given to the MPs and ministers were stupid. The last time some teachers decided to go on strike, some NDC bootlickers were suggesting they should not be paid. Is the government going to do same to striking Doctors? If not, then a body may sue the government for discrimination. Mahama, you are in big shit. You let the foolish lots in the Parliament decieve you and you sheepishly follow them to the slaughter house. Now, the ball is in your court. Other workers are watching.

The doctors should not renege on their strike. They should sit down and let Ghanaians know that they are part of the society in the sense that we need them more than those reckless and dishonest MPs who are nothing more than a rubber stamp.

Recently, our MPs were given 50,000.00 cedis for rent allowance. That too met stiff opposition from the general public but the president stood his ground while the so-called Clergy was mute.

I hope the Doctors will go on with their strike action and let people die at the hands of the useless NDC government.

The Clergy should shut off because they gave their blessing to what was given to the MPs and this time, why are they calling on the Doctors to consider their strike? Are they not Ghanaian workers who deserve better like the MPs?

I support them, but let's be fair, our doctors are not well trained like the doctors in the "70s and '80's. After the strike let them all take the board exams in the UK and US and pay the qualified well.

Why are the so-called clergy "pleading with the GMA" rather than CONDEMNING the decision to go on strike? And why has it taken them so long to even utter a word regarding this grievance. Do the clergy concerned understand the dynamics of the case? What efforts are they making to help resolve it? You see, because many have criticised them for their lopsided view of things and selective attacks, they want to show that they are "concerned" about other issues.

Not only do they not understand the issues, they are NOT really concerned about the issues. They remind us of the NPP's attitude towards the Bar Association, contrasted with that towards Wireko Brobbey. This is another disguised political group with no genuine national interest.

How many of the Doctors pay for the true cost of their education? Go and find out how many hours they spend at the government hospitals and compare that to the hours in their private hospitals. How much is enough? Please saving lives is a hand from God. If you find yourself in the health care sector, know that without the hand of God in your job, you're nothing. Its not like you don't have to be paid what you're due but if you ignore our living standards and compare your salaries to countries abroad, then I'm afraid you should've paid their equivalent cost of tuition to be a doctor. Almost every now and then, doctors are on strike! I'm sorry to say I'll stop sympathizing with you people. Stay home and will import doctors from Cuba at a low rate. The next time you guys wake up in the morning pay God, cost he just gave you life for another day. A word to the wise....

The government should in no time resolve this problem to aver any predicament. Even if these greedy and Corrupt MPs can have access to car loans and other things, why government can't afford to take of the medical doctors?
