  Its just simple. Just go the Ashanti Gold Field company and ask for the 2 years commision that will come and use this money to build these Hospitals, each at every Region of Ghana. Simple, isn't it!!

As much as it is the world bank of the NPP, NDC always enjoy massive support from that part of our nation. Do not fail them or you will have to pay the price sooner than later. I will also implore the numerous wealthy indigenes not to rely on the government to do everything for the people, but should rather use their resources to help the needy. The Osei Kwames, Kwabens Kesses, Addo Kuffours, Bdiakos etc should have an emergency meeting right away.

  I'm trying to understand why they are even considering a close down. Don't they know that closing down will only compound the problem of healcare delivery in that part of Ghana? If the issue is funding, i think they should rather find ways to get money to expand the hospital in order to accommodate those who need their service rather than considering a total close down. What the heck at all is going on in Ghana? Important things don't have a high priority on the government's agenda. They tend to spend more time and resources on unnecessary things and leave the important things to rot. It's only in Ghana that a whole government and the populace will spend time and their energy trading insults and debating useless issues such as Gay and Lesbian issues when the only Children hospital in the country is near collapse. When KATH is in need of money to expand, politicians are beign given millions of cedis to rent homes for themselves, when Kole Bu is rotten, millions are beign spent on Soccer that does not take us anywhere. What a country! Priorities are misplaced. God help us.

  We the people of Ghana should demand accountability of the government and stop calling them Honorable and His Exellency. These titles give them false security and allow them to think above others. You wrote a nice piece that only in Ghana do we put priorities in the wrong baskets and vote according to tribe or hatred. This is not helping the country and there is a need for change. The main thing is that our resources are being misused, abused and mismanaged when miliions are voted for soccer while health care of the people is neglected. KATH and Korle Bu were built at a time when the population of Ghana was perhaps a third of its size now. Accra and Kumasi need at leat 2 more hospitals each to accommodate the exploding population and the infiltration of foreigners also puts pressure on our resources.
  
  Ghana now has a leadership crisis whether you agree or not. How could politicians be given millions of cedis to rent homes for themselves when the masses are dying. There is no compassion, patriotism and common sense. Unfortunately, illiteracy and stupid tribalism also support the government to do what it does and it makes sure it takes advantage of the situation to quickly destroy the country, until if we are lucky, the gun is used. Certainly, there is a need for a change! It cannot go on like that

Mahama has made it a priority to build a unversity in the Eastern region when Koforidua hospital needs to be rebuilt and expanded or increas the number of hospitals in the region.
