Since independence, the government has tried to contol such thiings but it always leads to hoarding and/or smuggling. The only reason why there is such tight Government control is to line up pockets of various party or political cronies. Its sad that even though we now have oil, we still have problems with supply and demand.

The district has less than 55 commercial, private, official vehicles, and less than 900 motobikes yet for the 3 or 4 fuel stations, fuel does not stay for more than 72hrs after been discharged. It has been realised that the BNI officer and the police commander takes Ghc2 for every yellow gelican filled and smuggled to Togo. Please watch out for this and many more other things.
