Fuel increment is the only solution to this problem. In navrongo -Paga near the border there are over 10 fuel stations serving that small community. But still fuel shortage is the daily story. All this fuel (petrol) is carried across the border to Burkinafaso. Increase fuel prices and make a corresponding increment in salaries to cushion Ghanaians. Increment in salaries will also trickle down to non-salary workers because goods and services will also see a jump in prices.

This is not a news at all since NDC smuggles people from the neighboring countries to vote for them,so they also smuggles fuel as their benefits. God help Ghana.

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well that the farmer had accidentally left uncovered. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway, so it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Now, most people think that's the end, but it isn't.

The donkey later came back and bit the hell out of the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite got infected, and the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.

So the real moral from today's lesson?

When you do something wrong and try to cover your ass, it always comes back to bite you.

Smuggling cost the Nation a lot of money.Its time the Government gets the border officials to stop that.

This is where people are wrong, the government does not subsidise fuel, the fuel itself has more than 50% tax added to it, and another thing they do is add extra cost to petrol to cater for a reduction in price of kerosene and others, Dr Wreko Brobey who has been on the energy commission said this on radio, so has other people high up in government, the government find raising prices of petrol as an easy way of raising revenue to pay for their luxuries. The government has been challenged to bring in the proof of how it subsidises so far it has stayed numb . Please don't be fooled they don't subsidise something they are charging more than 50% tax on, it doesn't make sense. they are rather raising the cost of one product to take care of reduction in other commodity

Fuel sudsidies were taken off during the reign oof JAK,the idea then we remember was full cost recovery and it was touted from roof tops.This is what brought the NPA into being so govt stopped fixing fuel prices.This talk of subsidy is just a ploy to cheat us.There are no subsidies,you remember by how much % fuel prices went up then?.Think of it,how many gallons of petrol diesel kerosine etc etc do we get from a barrel of crude and compare that price to 25 gallons of petrol cost and 20 gallons of diesel not to talk of other products and add some margin and see if fuel cannot be sold a ghc 2.50 and they would still break even.
