Akadu's comment reflects what was reported when news of the unfortunate tragedy broke up. Moreover Akadu was right when she impugned that the news would have been blown out of proportion if a Ghanaian had died under similar circumstancs in Canada. A case in point: a Ghanaian youth was recently caught in a credit card stealing syndicate in the US and you will be shocked at the manufactured twists and turns in the media reports attempting to label the poor kid as an Al Qaeda operative. Credit card stealing occurs once a while among American youth but when a Ghanaian or an African for that matter is involved the foreign media will 'give the dog a bad name and hang it'. I believe that is Akadu's view point and even if you do not agree with that view point the insults were really uncalled for. They make you sound like a foreigner looking down scornfully and with so much disdain on the Ghanaian which, as a matter of fact, vindicates Akadu Mensema.
