Ghanaians are full of it. I mean "bribery and corruption." They have started their usual stock in trade to bribe the Vatican into electing one of their own to be Pope, as their equally doing and maneuring the UN to appoint Keremanteng, to the post WHO.

Why can Ghanaians do things on merit, apart from bribing people all over the place, as they did and failed at the last AFCON CUP, in South Africa, where the real Champions of Africa, the Super Eagles of Nigeria, emerged as WINNER.

We are not fools here Ghanaians. You can foll some people sometimes, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

Please stop your corruption and bribery, and allow the Catholics to elect their Pope on merit, without interferance from Ghanaians. This is not your 'ALL DIE BE DIE' elections. The whole world is watching.

I think Mahama had indicated and said recently that he would abide by any Supreme Court ruling. Mentioning this in relation to the Pop's resignation is another testimoney that he would resign if the court ruling said he should resign. He needs not be reminded or insulted to do so.

We supported the petition from day one not because we hated Mahama but because the action would help strenghen our fragile demoracy. If the verdict from the SC is clear and according to the law that Mahama should resign and he goes on to resign, he would go down in history as one of the greatest sons of Africa that upheld the rule of law in his country.

On the other hand, any decison by the SC whether for or against Nana Ado will also not make him the devil that that seeks to win power farudlently through the court. His action will go down in history as a politician in Black Africa who did not use voilence as means of seeking redres but peacefully asking the Court to arbitrate and tell Ghanaians who actually won the election. By so doing, he has helped in strenghening demoracy in his country and in Africa.

The mear fact that the Court is now looking into the various aspects of the voting process and the results to verify which of the two is telling the truth is enough to warn all the parties and the EC that it is no longer enough to declare a winner, but the process must be seen to be free, fair and accepted by all the prarties involved. This will make everybody very careful next time whether the president retains power or not and whether the EC commited mistakes knownly or unknowinly. Let us hope that all ends well and Ghana will again chompion the cause of democrary in Africa.

I am sorry to say this, but there are many disgruntled elements of our society out there looking for any opportunity to disrespect you. This hurts those of us who wish you well and know you will be a great president.

For whatever reason Pope Benedict resigned, the fact of the matter is that whether for better or for worse, or courageous or not courageous he has resigned.

It is very important that we remain cognizant of how the rest of the world perceives us; that we are CORRUPT, cannot ENFORCE A SINGLE LAW on our Statute Books, except, of course, when it is expedient for one reason or the other, Most of our fellow citizens Live in Unsanitary Conditions, Our streets have been allowed to become markets, on the back of a flimsy excuse that there are no jobs, and lives of an otherwise decent people have been unabatedly reduced to that of a scullion.

Please let's concentrate on these pressing issues and more that can not be catalogued here and leave the Pope's resignation to be commented on by leaders facing less challenges.

There is wisdom in both choosing to resign and choosing not to resign. What makes them wise decisions is that, the personality involved looks into himself honestly and is convinced that he should resign then it is a wise decision for him to resign like Pope Benedict XVI; and if he looks into himself and gets convinced that he should not resign then it is a wise decision for him not to resign like Pope John Paul II.
The only lesson the Pope's resignation teaches is being honest to oneself and not to others. As President Mahama said, it is brave thing to act on one's honest convictions.
The Pope did not resign because some "wiseman" or "wisemen" put pressure on him to resign. Pope John Paul II, and many others ahead of him, in the same situation chose not to resign and they died on the job -- that was also fine because they did so honestly.
